KEN BLOCK (1967-2023)
Ken Block was one of the best-known sports personalities in the world, his influence reaching everything from skateboarding to Formula 1. But before all that, before Eight Ball, Blunt magazine, Droors Clothing, DC Shoes, rally cars, the Gymkhana videos, the Hoonigan Racing Division, global stardom, and all of the other amazing things that Ken accomplished in his life, there was motocross. Ken’s first love was riding dirt bikes. Growing up in Southern California and riding the local tracks, Block dreamed of one day having a track in his own backyard. Two years ago, he was able to make that dream a reality when he purchased a ranch just outside Park City, Utah, and built his own slice of paradise: a full-on, national-caliber motocross track. On this particular day, Ken was out riding his track with his close friend, the King of Supercross himself, Jeremy McGrath. Truly living the dream. Ken was taken from us way too soon, but he lived his life just the way he wanted to, and he did it with style and grace. He leaves behind a legacy that will never be forgotten. Godspeed, Ken.
