Reason For Being

Ihave been a motocross collector for as long as I can remember. Before I could even read, I would cut all the pictures out of my dad’s copy of Cycle News every week and put them in a scrapbook. Same goes for Dirt Bike and Cycle World and every other magazine back then, which I would attack with my scissors as soon as he was done reading them (as well as a few unfortunate times when he wasn’t quite done). It was the baby steps of what turned out to be a lifelong obsession with printed motocross material. And growing up with race-promoter parents, I had plenty of opportunities—my mom used to work in a print shop and created many of the old event posters and souvenir programs from their early races.
