NO DAY AT THE BEACH 

Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Adam Cianciarulo samples the silica in a tricky sand section that was giving the riders fits at the season’s second round in Houston’s NRG Stadium. Cianciarulo was chasing early leader Chase Sexton when he crashed in the sand; just a couple of laps later, Sexton himself crashed in the same place, knocking him out of the race completely. Before the main event was over, Marvin Musquin would also wash up on what turned out to be a small but treacherous stretch of Texas beach.
