BLUE Buffalo/Slater Skins/Yamaha have added Chad Sanner for the 2017 season. Sanner, who owned and operated Eleven-10 Mods based in Uniontown, Pennsylvania, and built a race team that featured the likes of Alex Martin, Darryn Durham, Phil Nicoletti, and more, will be the in-house motor builder for the team.
The move was announced today in a team press release you can read below.
For the past few years Chad Sanner has been the missing ingredient in the motor building aspect of the industry. From 2009-2013 his highly renowned privateer motors put now well-known names like Alex Martin, Phil Nicoletti, and Darryn Durham on the map. Chad brings, not only his technician skills but, his professional AMA racing experience which is a unique advantage when it comes to testing. Sanner will be at every race with the mechanics working under him and looks to make the BLUE Buffalo/Slater Skins/Yamaha Team a serious contender in the years to come.
“I'm thrilled to have Chad on board with us for 2017 and beyond. I have the utmost confidence in his ability to build bikes that are better than our top competitors'. As a privateer I looked up to Eleven-10 Mods and after testing with Chad I think he's the perfect fit for our program. He'll have our team turning heads in '17.” – Broc Schmelyun (team manager—BLUE Buffalo/Slater Skins/Yamaha)
"I am very excited to be a part of a team with so much upside opportunity. BLUE Buffalo/Slater Skins/Yamaha has exactly what my team was missing; funding and a full staff to help complement each other both on and off the track. I am confident in my abilities and I can't wait to show what these bikes are capable of this season. My goal is to give our riders factory-level performance that will offer a platform to exceed even their own expectations for 2017 and beyond." – Chad Sanner (chief motorcycle technician—BLUE Buffalo/Slater Skins/Yamaha)
