Buffalo, NY: Dunlop extends heartfelt congratulations to the Dunlop-supported U.S. Junior Motocross Team for capturing the overall title at the 2011 FIM Junior Motocross World Championships held at Cingoli, Italy, on August 13-14. In addition to the team win, Team D alumni Joey Savatgy also earned the individual world championship in the 125cc class at the event. Other Team Dunlop riders past and present joining Savatgy on the victorious U.S. squad include Chris Alldredge, Mark Worth, Chase Bell, Michael Mosiman and Matt Bisceglia. Additional U.S. team riders contributing to the American team’s success include Gabriel Jairala, Derek Drake, Josh Mosiman and Tyler Rosa.
“We know that amateur motocross racing is very strong in the USA,” said Primo Marotto, Dunlop's Manager of Amateur Motocross Support. “We see that speed and depth of talent every time these racers gather anywhere in the country for a big event. Even so, it’s pretty impressive when these young riders travel to a distant country, race in a new environment and still come away winners. Dunlop is proud to contribute to the future of racing in America, and by these results it sure looks like motocross racing in the coming years will only get better in the USA.”
