SprocketList.com & Scorpion Sports Partner Up In Indy
March 10, 2011, 2:05pm
Lake Forest, CA — When innovative online classified outfit SprocketList.com wanted to get dealers to head to their display at the industry trade show in Indianapolis, they used their heads, literally! Scorpion EXO-750 helmets were custom painted by Headhunter Design and given to one lucky winner each day of the Dealernews International Powersports Dealer Expo. “We were in Indy to support our dealers and we like the fact that SprocketList offers dealers a 24/7 means of supporting themselves with free online listings,” explains Scorpion’s National Sales Manager Jon Eide.
The custom Scorpion helmet was the cornerstone of SprocketList.com’s Indy trade show display, drawing hundreds of dealers to our booth for a closer hands-on look,” adds Joe Tripp, former SPEED Channel exec and now president of SprocketList. Of course, having Kaitlyn, the lovely Miss SprocketList showing off the helmet certainly didn’t drive anyone away from the booth! “Thanks again to Scorpion for providing three of their top-of-line helmets, and thanks to Headhunter Designs for customizing each one of the winning dealers’ helmets.”
Speaking of winners, Skyler John from Jasper, Indiana, won on Friday; Jon McKenzie from Peru, Indiana, took the second EXO-750 and Scott Shelhart from Claypool, Indiana, capped things off. All three are now riding billboards for SprocketList classifieds! Launched last September, SprocketList.com has partnered up with such noted sites as Bikernet.com, CycleNews.com, RacerXonline.com and ThrottleHand.com to provide an easy to use platform for buying or selling motorcycles, ATVs, snowmobiles, PWC and the associated gear, parts and accessories. Basic listings are always free and there is never a fee for buying.
Scorpion’s EXO-750 was also introduced this past fall. “Starting with such timeless technological advantages as our space age fiberglass/Kevlar™ matrix shell and proprietary AirFit® system, the 750 represents the evolution of a superior species of helmet,” claims Eide, “just like SprocketList.com represents the evolution of classified ads.”
MSRP for the EXO-750: $229.95 (solids), $239.95-$249.95 (graphics)
