MXDesignz.com/Shea Racing Takes On Indy
February 19, 2010 12:32pm
INDIANAPOLIS – The Texas contingent will be out in force at the Eastern Region opening round of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross series in Indianapolis this Saturday when Team MXdesignz.com/Shea Racing supports two Texans in the premier 450 Supercross class and another Texan in the 250 Lites class. Teddy Parks has been running the team colors since the Anaheim series opener and will continue in Indy with Jason Langford who will step up from the 250 Lites class to join him in the Supercross class, and Vernon McKiddie will make his debut for the team in 250 Lites.
Parks of Princeton, Texas has made every night program in his 450 Supercross rookie season. While he has yet to make the main event, he keeps inching closer to that goal in a unique privateer effort that relies on independent funding, a partnership with Warthog Racing and no factory or dealer support. The two-year MXdesignz.com/Shea Racing team member, Parks runs number 247 on a Kawasaki KX450F.
Langford of Palestine, Texas is a rookie who has competed this season in the 250 Lites West Coast Supercross riding for the Confused Clothing/Warthog Racing team, making every night program. He will join Parks in the premier Supercross class running Team MXdesignz.com/Shea Racing colors when team management, including Warthog Racing principles, became confident enough in Langford to make the decision to enter him into the Supercross class. Langford will also compete on a Kawasaki KX450F with number 804.
The Indy Supercross will be the first race of the season for McKiddie of Huffman, Texas. He has been a pro for the last couple seasons competing in both AMA Supercross and the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship. McKiddie will run number 129 on a Kawasaki KX250F.
“This is by far the biggest effort we put forth in Supercross,” said Tim Shea, team manager. “We take every opportunity possible to provide support to talented privateers and give additional exposure to our sponsors. We see potential in rookie Jason Langford to bring him up to the premier class for the Eastern Region rounds so we can run two riders in the top class. And we are pumped to see what Vernon can do for our team starting this weekend. This expansion shows the effectiveness of our partnership with Warthog Racing when we see an opportunity to build on our program.”
Supercross fans head to Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana this Saturday, February 20 to watch Team MXdesingz.com/Shea Racing riders take on both classes. During the pit party before the racing stop by the team pit—you cannot miss the graffiti girl wrap on the team rig—next to the Warthog Racing semi to meet the riders and check out some of the MXdesignz graffiti-inspired apparel.
