Ohio Supermoto Gets Set For Nasmoto Qualifier
With the 2006 NASMOTO Supermoto Series officially
underway, the action heads north to Ohio. Home to KTM North America Head Office, AMA Headquarters and 2005 AMA Supermoto Lites Champion Mark Burkhart, Ohio knows a thing or two about Supermoto. Circleville Raceway Park (CRP), just outside Columbus, will host the second Grand Championship Qualifier of the series May 13-14.
Circleville Raceway Park is a 7/10-mile asphalt road coarse that will be primed for the NASMOTO Ohio Supermoto. Burkhart had a hand in the track design, complete with a dirt section comprising at least 30% of the
course. This Ohio local will also be on hand as a Guest Instructor on behalf of the Westcoast Supermoto Racing School. NASMOTO is pleased to be working with Regional Promoter Pat Moro of Ohio Supermoto to bring in this school and its founder, Veteran Supermoto Champion Darrick Lucchesi, on May 11. So before garnering points for a chance to back it in at the Queen Mary in Long Beach, California, racers and riders alike can learn skills and technique directly from the pros.
