Check out TEAM HONDA AT DAWN
in our Latest issue of Racer X available now.Forty years ago, Team Honda arrived on the American motocross circuit with a brand new motorcycle: the game-changing Elsinore CR250. Page 170.

Glad the 250's are fun to watch cuz the 450 class is a bore.
Jeffrey Herlings didnt do himself or our sport any favours when he was interviewed after the second race on Sunday. First he tries to take out Tommy Searle on the start, numerous times, then he does take out Arnaud Tonus in France, for which he is cautioned, then he swears on camera and threatens to take out Mel Pocock after the second race in Portugal. What an absolute idiot . I bet Stefan Everts and KTM are really proud.
Does kinda suck, but MA 800 looks to be steppin' it up a bit. Or was Dungey just biding his time? Took him a while to get by, but that is his way. I think, in this situation, this is for sure the way for him to go. Safe and sound. But sure do wish the rest were out there to mix it up a bit. To bad, for everyone. Keep watchin' tho old buddy, cuz ya never know what might happen, and we don't want to miss it if something happens! Of course there will be the replays. Can't count how many times I watched Reed and the "Chadapult" @ Spring Creek last year! And rremember all the people saying Dungey to KTM= career ender. Lookin' like Dungey to KTM=Champion. One of the best parts of this sport is it's unpredictabilty. Cuz ya just never know what will happen next. If the Dunge gets hurt, we have a whole new series. With many possible winners. Alessi, right now lookin' like the favorite. He is lookin' good, and seems to have stopped the sh!t talking and general stupid behavior. If he keeps this up, I might start to like him. I'm sure that is his goal. lol Now, will he keep it up?
why wasnt tommy hahn at high point?
BillC Can't agree more all thought Alessi made interesting for a little while.
250's where great both motos Tomac was on the gas in the second mot for sure.
Stewart will get fast agian in the next couple off weeks he was obviously rider hurt.
At least he showed up to salvage points.
Had to work this weekend, so I have yet to watch the 450 races. I did see the last ten minutes of the 250 second moto while grabbing a break. From that I it was obvious that Tomac the Terrible was on a mission. The way came thru the pack, stalked Bam Bam, then put the inside move on him was classic. Roczen has the speed but seems to lose focus toward the end of races. Once he gets that problem solved watch out. Baggett still has point lead, but seems to be falling back into his up and down mode. Marvin just seems to be riding around, could be he is waitng for his hand to stop throbbing or his style is just that smooth. Bill C is right the 250's are exciting...As for the 450's I will have to catch them Tues on replay.. Sounds like Dungey just did his Locomotive thing, started off slow, built up speed as the race wore on. Congrats to Alessi and Weimer for making the box. It is not easy to get there. I know every one miss the wounded, alot of speed at home on the sofa, but there is alot fast guys on the line. Metty, Milsaps, Short are all capable of winning on any given day. Thumbs up to Izzi, Sipes and Tickle as they are seem to be getting 450 class figured out. I am sure, when I watch, there will be some good battles going on thru out the pack, as you cant put that many fast guys on the track with out some breaking out.
Bucky I think sometimes RD ride to the level of the Comp whitch sucks for us.
.RD sure got lucky on time, He almost ate it hard!! Then we would have and MA800/JW21 title battle.
Wondering why Stewart/Suzuki wouldnt be riding around trying to get points? it is early in the series. Is the hand broken or just sore? 5th isnt bad, and even a 10th brings in points.... Just ride within your abilities. Ya, 450s will be a bore with Dungey (he now has Stewart speed/but keeps it on 2 wheels).
BD25.... I don't know about this one ..."but there is alot fast guys on the line. Metty, Milsaps, Short are all capable of winning on any given day"
.They are getting beat by over 1min so RD will need to have REAL bad luck for one of them to pull off a win. There may be a Track that one of them likes and be up front but RD is way to fast and strong. Cors when he has a big points lead we have seen him let guys go so who knows.
Anyone seen EuroMike?? LOL
You will see EuroMike when K-roc gets his first win.
BillC, is it not smart to ride with in ones self? Why ride the edge and risk injury? I see your point, not as exciting, but in the grand scheme of things, it is whats best for KTM and RD. Never know whats going to happen alot of motos to go before a champ is crowned. Just hope every one stays healthy, to many on the sofa healing as it is...
EuroMike is over on the 250 overall site reminding everyone that Roczen 17. LOL
Granted Ryan is on tier with Poto, Reed, Stewart but it just takes one bad start, Alessi, Metty, Millsaps, Short and Weimer could all win. If one of those gets a big dose of C&C you never know...I am trying to stay positve ..after all its the Great Outdoors...
Does anyone know why Jeff Alessi is not racing? I dont think hes hurt anymore but i seen on twitter the other day he said he needs a 450? Concepts wont give hime one? he made enough main events in supercross to deserve a bike i think..
I know I'm going to take heat for this comment, and I truly do not mean any disrespect, but I predict that Stewart will drop out of the rest of the 450's, if not this week, then between Budds Creek and Red Bud. Just a hunch.
BD25...For sure, no need to get hurt. It's just dif than what most do. RC would win by over 1 min no matter what, He never slowed down. Its more fun to see than to see Rd just grind out a win by wearing guys down. I don't balim RD for 1 sec just saying its not fun to watch is all.
BillC Ryan may have learned last year at Freestone, there is a time to pin it and a time to back off a bit. RC wanted to make everone want to settle for second before the race began, HE was MR DOMINATOR before he became the GOAT.
MrMx Glad to hear you were able to attend the races, thought you may have to miss. Budds Creek next week is the only race on the east coast I have attended. In 90, I was there to watch Cooper trying to wrap up the 125 title. Loved the track and that up hill start, guess they have changed that. Will you be attending BC?
Wstewart- Im not giving you any heat- but why would he drop out of the series? He already said the championship is not his goal, just to get used to the bike and be ready for 2013. If the wrist is truly fuc ked like 2010- then yeah he would have to drop out anyway. If that is the case maybe its time to hang it up for good.
Yes, it is moto and the one sure thing about it is anything can happen! Heck Langston came out of no where to win when James got hurt before....No bad luck to any one ..but you never know whats going to happen, thats what makes it the Great Outdoors!!!!
@WFO UFO
Again, no disrespect. I know he said the championship was not his goal, but when he was winning, it had to be in his mind. My point is that with this injury, the fun is gone, the title is probably out of reach, so I don't see him riding for "fun" at another event. I am a true fan of this sport. I've been going to the nationals since 1987.It doesn't make me an expert, but based on what I see, I feel that Stewart will drop out.
