I want to know were all the JS is Done guys are?? Where are all the RD is the NEW guy the changing of the gard people?? Where are the ones who got pissed when I said K-Dub won't win?? Were are the guys who SLAMMED me when I questioned if RD could run with JS or a healthy RV last season?? RD had better pick it up REAL soon, 2 in and 9 points down already and tied for 3rd with TC. This could be over for him real soon.. Unless he gets lucky and RV and JS get hurt again. Of the 4 guys that beat him this week 1 of them did 1 race, 1 did 3 races, 1 did 5 and the other guy won 7 races and missed 3 last year. Hmmmm Is the fairytail over or can RD drop 2 sec's of his lap times??

Did anyone see the traction control device on stewarts bike? That's cheating in the AMA, he should lose the win or be fined for cheating. Stewart is now the fastest cheater on the planet. The way he shrugged it off on the podium made me feel like he was hiding it.

Get your facts straight. Its cheating IF it was used for traction controll like they said.

Carlsbad wrote: 9:41am January 17, 2011

If you get caught, you get bounced, simple as that. Does the AMA have the technology to catch this type of cheating anyway? Do they even care? If, as Trey Canard says, "every moto counts", the top 5 contenders are still neck & neck: RV=1-2, JS=3-1, CR=5-4, TC=4-3, RD=2-5. Stewart, Canard & Reed improved while, RV & RD went backwards. This is largely due to their positions last week, RV & RD had nowhere to go but down, while JS, TC & CR had room to improve. Of those 5, I think they're doing fine no matter whom you're reffering to. #800, get a 450 and qualifiy!

It was NOT a traction control device. It is a data aquisition sensor. Regal had the system on his bike the previous week. Honda runs a starting device that holds the engine at a consistent RPM for the start (Remember all of Short's holeshots last year?). Kawasaki has a similar system on Villopoto's bike. Are they cheating too?

One thing I always thought was proven to be true this weekend...... Do riders really drink Monster right after finishing a race, or at all for that matter? I thought it was funny to see JH100 dump a can of Monster (water) on his head after the main....... I realize its only for advertisement, but really there are pleanty of Monster logos, give the kid a bottle of water for christ sake.....

Profile Picture
Asa wrote: 10:32am January 17, 2011

Anyone who honestly thinks stewart is cheating is out of their mind, anything that bike has, honda, kawi and suzuki has it matched in a similar way, as far as those wack parts go. To my knowledge Factory Honda has had the rpm control or traction control ignition switch, whatever, on their 450 bikes at least since 2008, fact, please find another reason to make terrible dumb comments about one of the sports most amazing riders doing his best.

Lol he called Hansen "kid". He's only 5 years younger than the guy they call the old man. Stewart might have had an empty box with probes for what we know. It could all be a publicity stunt. Probably not but until we find out what exactly it is, save your opinion. I really really don't like Stewart but I'm logical enough not to pass judgement without the facts. I've never been a RV2 fan but he moved up my list when he reeled Stewart in. Welcome your new co-fastestmanontheplanet!

I think the AMA needs to look into James for running some sort of electronic device attached to the rear wheel, not sure if it is traction control but they need to look into this.

Its NOT traction control, just checking wheel speed and what not. settle down.

Miller227 wrote: 10:40am January 17, 2011

Some of you people kill me. Are you serious with your dumb ass accusations and assumptions. First of all it wasn't traction control device it was a data collector on rear wheel spin and such, JS7 and San Manual Yamaha would not risk loosing any points or anything that would set them back from getting the title. Second of all these guys are top athletes they would never be drinking an energy drink full of sugars and caffeine after a race they put it in Monster or red bull bottles for sponsor representation while on TV. To set on here and bash any one of these riders is bullshit these guys are the best in the world although i have my ffreinds and favorites that i would like to see do well my hats are off to everyone that shows up to race a supercross at a pro level.

Profile Picture

Roger that Miller. I get the whole representation /adverstising aspect.....It's just silly at times .....there are so many Monster logo's its almost annoying ...We all know JH100 rides the Monster Energy / Pro Circuit Kawi....with his Thor / Monster gear and Monster this and that, I get it, Monster sponsors the series.....just a little over kill for me how they force these guys to whore out a cans of sugar.....does it make you want to swill a can when you see them do their post race interviews? They should roll up with a can of Coors Light!!! Its all goo...

Profile Picture
bigjbp712 wrote: 10:58am January 17, 2011

BillC I never said it was traction control what I was saying is that the AMA (you know the governing body) should look into it. I wouldn't care if it James, Chad, RV or anybody, it is the AMA's job to look into these things and make it as far as possible for everyone.

Profile Picture
silver753 wrote: 10:59am January 17, 2011

Stewart used a GET device, you can buy it online for around $6000. It's a data/info gathering device. You people are morons, do you honestly think if it was on national TV and WAS ILLEGAL, he would be DQ'd. Wake up, Erin Bates was misinformed. Just because she asked a stupid question, doesn't mean it's true.

BillC, Get over yourself! I doubt anyone on here looks to you for insight. Wow what bold predictions you have JS and RV will do well this year. I suppose the New England Patriots and the Yankees will have Good years as well. Oh yeah! and do you think it will be sunny this summer? You have to admit Kdub was hangin in there until he had some bad luck. The luck can go either way. The season has just started, RD and many others still believe they can be a factor. Maybe they shouldn't line up each week. We could just call you and find out whats up. Not trying to be rude dude, but when you write on here often times you sound like you're THE authority or something. Nothing personal Bill...... Maybe I just needed to vent since Kdub wrecked out at Phoenix? Have a good day anyhow...

Is that so bad of me?? PS lots of people said JS and RV would be going fast but most people where telling me RD is the man now.

I think the JGR folks were more or less poking fun with Stewart more than they were concerned about any rule breaking......I think their view was " why bust that stuff out at the races ".....I am sure JGR (Yamaha backed team remember) has access and has used the same device...just not at a race. If anything, they used the device in practice only to get information and it wasnt used during the race....

Most people like to say they were right don't they??. Do I think RD will go winless this year... NO... But unless he picks up the pase a LOT or has some crazy good luck it does not look good right now. Could he come out next weekend and win...YUP.. I hope he does or JS and RV will run away with this.

Edro, Post-race impound used to be the norm but, it seems to have faded away. The AMA is an absentee landlord in the business of judiciating their series. It revolves around money. Ask DC, he (his company) promotes the nats and in the beginning, he was all for bringing in 2-strokes. After a little political pressure (aka the factories taking their ball & going home) he's terrified of his business collapsing so he caves to their demands. "Follow the money" is usually the easiest answer to see where the special interests are being served. Same for traction control. AMA isn't competent enough to know what they're looking for in the first place.

Maybe Dungey is playing the old GOAT game of: make it out of CA safe & then the title race begins. Who knows when this guys' training has him peaking? A1? Daytona? I think he knows a thing or two about competing for championships by now so, he's not sweating one race off the box. Also, I don't mean to blast DC, at the end of the day he's just a businessman taking care of his. Someone without financial loss or gain at stake would probably be more apt to make the right call for the long term health of the sport. BillC, everybody's waiting for more predictions from you so if you get one wrong, "Dogpile!"

BillC, I know people were saying that, but i really don't think they believed it themselves, may have hoped it though. When Bubba started all the "fastest man to ever throw a leg over a motorcycle" crap, He opened the door for people to dislike him and root against him. I'm not really sure why he felt the need to go there? And Kdub was in 4th. Besides, I know you've been following this sport long enough to know 2 races aren't even close to determining a champ. Everybody has their bad days. It's just a matter of how bad. I was counting on others having a no points day during the season not K-dub. Still a long way to go till Vegas!

Bill C... I'm gonna slam you and tell you than YES, Poto can match stewey's speed. How could you think otherwise having seen RV go from fourth, pass all the HEavy hitters of the class and make time right to James rear wheel. and Bill. EVen if the device is only for collecting DAta, The end result is still TRACTION CONTROL which is illegal. But since it was james' bike, they'll let it slide. Bill C,,, I got absolutely slammed when Blake wharton was turning pro. I'd seen him ride and knew he'd be winning quick. EVERYBODY bashed me, "His riding style sucks, he doesn't even keep his elbows up". ITs all BillC, These Keyboard racers are harsh. They obviously dont ride. I always read what you got to say. I'd say Bill, its too early to count out dungey. Remember how out of shape Poto was last year. Holeshot, than fade to fifth. about a month later, he was leaving the Dunge. Dungey is so confident right now. He knows if he holeshots, he's gotta sprint for half a moto, and trust me, he's in shape to do it. He will win. AS for K"dub... Nobody out there has bike skills like K'dub. He lapped up to third place(dungey) at seattle.

Pinned I agree RV can Run with JS, I was saying that back when RV first moved to the 450 class, i said he is the ONLY one that can run with JS outdoors, We never got to see it but I believe it. RD is Far from done I just like to point out that all the people that said he is the second comiming are know where to be seen right now. I know you are one of the guy who are always on here, U, BD200 and a few others the rest just pile on from time to time and spout crap. I also argree that K-Dub has mad skills but I have to laugh EVERY year before the season starts the K-Dub fans come out and say he can win it and I get slammed when I say it aint going to happen.

Poor dungey everyone is doubting him, if stewart ends up out of the series, he has just as good of a chance to capitalize as villo, canard or reed. I think we all know James is ok if he is in all the races. I think millsaps should get a little more love too since he lost a kidney less than a year ago, he has done a great job to get back on a team, make mains and finish top tens in the most stacked class in the world, kidney is no bone folks.

RV going backwards hahaha are you kidding me? of course dungey is going to be questioned, he pretty much won by default last year supercross. his main threats were dudes that practiclly never win (shorty). dont get me wrong dungey is a great "ryda" but once the big boys came back he was put in his place

And he didnt do well on the slick or bad tracks last year either. I wouldnt count him out yet. But at Pheonix, Stewie and RV2 were at another level.. Very impressive to me.

The monster cans or rockstar cans you see the riders drinking out of or dumping over there head after the race is purely just water inside that little aluminum piece of advertisement. My brother worked at all the nationals this summer and i went out to visit him at Red Buuuuuud, and he actually gave me a couple after the racing on Saturday. So there is no carbonated liquid inside those cans just some delicious water!
