Mike Alessi Headed to Australia in the Fall
As KTM rider Mike Alessi prepares for the start of his 2010 AMA season at the Rockstar Energy Hangtown Classic on May 22, he's already pulling together a plan for his return to AMA Supercross in 2011. Alessi, who sat out the 2010 Monster Energy AMA Supercross tour to focus on outdoors and shaking down the brand new KTM 350, announced this morning that he will head to Australia and New Zealand in the fall to get tuned up on stadium racing in the series that is co-promoted by Chad Reed.
In regards to the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championships, according to Alessi Weekly newsletter, "Mike #800 is is coming into this series in good form, with a new team,and an all new 350cc KTM race machine." Alessi won the Hangtown overall last year, as well as the third round at Freestone in Texas before fracturing his knee cap in a practice accident.
The first motos of the Rockstar Energy Hangtown Classic will air live on www.allisports.com, while the second set of motos will air on SPEED.
