"The PAMX State Championship Series has produced strong turnouts and great racing with each passing event," Tim Coombs, director of Bellco, promoter of the weekend's festivities. "With Steel City having marked the final round of the 2008 Toyota AMA Motocross Championship, it will be a fitting grand finale for the PAMX State Championships."
Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki and Yamaha all pay factory contingency awards at the PAMX State Championship events.
Each class champion will be presented with a PAMX No. 1 plate at the 2008 award's banquet, which will be held December 6 in Johnstown, Pa.
Saturday's open practice will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. AMA Membership is not required to participate in the Saturday open practice sessions, but will be required for participation in Sunday's competition. Motorcycles and ATV’s will practice and race both days. Admission is $10 for the weekend.
Gates will open Friday at 6 p.m. Registration for Saturday's practice will begin at 9 a.m. Participants can register for Sunday’s race at this time as well. For Sunday race day, practice will begin at 8:30 a.m., with racing immediately following-rain or shine.
