Toyota/Racer X Power Rankings

|

Back again for 2008 is the Toyota/Racer X Power Rankings, which rates the top riders in America, based on the voting of several knowledgeable industry insiders. Since today is the eve of the 2008 Monster Energy AMA Supercross series and it’s been awhile since we’ve seen these riders in supercross competition, we’re going to show you where the riders ranked following the 2007 season finale in Las Vegas.

Will James Stewart uphold his #1 ranking?

Of course the recently crowned World and AMA Champ James Stewart stood atop the list, with Ricky Carmichael and Chad Reed in second and third. The highest-ranking Lites rider was Ryan Villopoto, who won seven of eight Western Regional Lites main events to take his first regional SX championship. Barely making the cut into the top 25 was Jake Weimer, who was the runner-up at the East-West Shootout. Will next week’s rankings look similar to these, or will we see a breakthrough from a young rookie or a wily veteran? Make sure you tune in next week!
