Justin Cooper sprinted while leading Thunder Valley, then tried to settle into a pace. When the Lawrence brothers took the fight to him, he couldn’t ramp the speed back up, so they got by him without a fight. For the second moto, Cooper decided to just pin it until he couldn’t sustain it any longer. He led longer, but once Jett and Hunter attacked, he had nothing left to fight them with, again.
