For American motocross fans, John Dowd and Doug Henry are hardworking underdogs who made it big on the national circuit. For New England motocross fans, they’re practically royalty. Same goes for Keith Johnson and Mike Treadwell, at least up in that corner of the country. Once rivals on the vaunted NESC (New England Sports Committee) circuit, they’re now all part of the team that brought national-caliber motocross back to Southwick, Massachusetts, at The Wick 338. Though the track was thought to be gone for good just a few years ago, the Johnson-led team just hosted the biggest, most successful Southwick National in the track’s long history.
