The media’s job is to tell the whole story. So, what’s the fair way to describe this season’s Pro Motocross Championship? Is Chase Sexton the man now, or can that not be said since Jett Lawrence was not there?
For Sexton, the numbers don’t lie, the bonus still pays, and the history book still records things the same way. Chase is the Pro Motocross Champion and that can’t be argued. He’s being treated as such. For two months he got all the glory, press, cheers, and money. He’s getting his fair share. The only reason I even bring Jett’s name up is because I think it might be unfair the other way around. If the media’s job is to tell the whole story, isn’t part of the story last year’s champion going out with injury?
