WALL TO WALL

While working through some of the vast Racer X photo archives, we came across a shot that looked very familiar. It was Ricky Carmichael banking off the old wall turn at High Point Raceway in 2003 aboard his Honda CR250R, on his way to another 250 National win. The photo looked familiar because we featured a shot of another High Point 250 National winner, Rockstar Husqvarna’s Jalek Swoll, hitting the new wall turn that was built this year, on the cover of the September ’21 issue of Racer X. RC was on plenty of magazine covers during his epic career, but this was the first for Swoll. Come to think of it, it was the first for “The Wall” too.
