AT THE TOP
That’s where the veteran Ken Roczen said he would rank his remarkable Indianapolis Supercross win last month, when he outlasted the rest of the 450SX field to give his HEP Motorsports Suzuki team its first win ever, as well as the brand’s first premier-division main-event win in more than six years. Roczen, who parted with Honda last fall, seemed like he might be on the way to the exit door, career-wise, but he revitalized himself, the brand, the team, and even the entire series with his stunning win on the Progressive Insurance/Ecstar-backed RM-Z450. Where he goes from here remains to be seen, but for a glorious night in March, Kenny and his Suzuki were at the very top.
