Really enjoyed the article on Saddleback (“40 Years Gone,” December, 2024). Ironically enough the day I read the story I happened to watch an old horror movie from the early 1980s called Happy Birthday to Me and there is a scene at Saddleback Park with one of the characters racing in an MX race… Just like The Thing with Two Heads, an MX race always grabs my attention. You ended that story on the perfect note.
