Spanish hero Jorge Prado has already conquered the rest of the motocross world. The question now is can he conquer America?
Last winter Spanish motocross rider Jorge Prado made a bold decision: He was going to leave his base in Europe to try his hand at riding supercross. Real supercross, as in the genuine Monster Energy Supercross, and not the arena-sized version often found outside the U.S. For Prado, this was a huge risk. He had just been crowned the FIM’s MXGP World Champion for 2023 and was committed to defending that title in ’24 with the Red Bull GasGas factory team. Why venture into such a hostile foreign arena to try your hand in a form of sport that is alien to you and will likely lead to guaranteed defeat, and maybe even embarrassment for such a decorated athlete as the three-time world champion?
