Why aren’t doubleheaders happening? Want to shorten the season? Doubleheaders. Want to give riders more time to recover? Doubleheaders. Want to reduce costs for teams? Doubleheaders. Want to make it easier on privateers? Doubleheaders. Want to give our team more preparation time for MXoN? Doubleheaders. Two a year would be huge, and Anaheim already gets two races, so that one would be easy. They would just have to find one other city that could fill two nights. If you can’t find another place to do it, Anaheim could easily fill two, no problem! We used to have doubleheaders every year, and there was no increase in injury. Why isn’t this happening?

(You make some good points on why Monster Energy Supercross has had some doubleheaders, Chris, but you really need to ask the riders and teams. As I recall they weren’t too fond of doing back-to-back races over the course of two successive nights, and that was before the four-stroke era made everything a little more complicated. Let’s see if we get any feedback from your letter, thanks for sending it along. DC)
