STILL THE ONE
Australia’s Jett Lawrence joined a very exclusive club of elite Honda riders when he repeated as champion in the 250 Class, winning 9 of the 12 rounds in this summer’s Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship. Lawrence joins a club that was founded way back in 1974–’75, when Marty Smith won the first 125cc titles, and includes Micky Dymond (’86–’87), Doug Henry (’93–’94), and Steve Lamson (’95–’96). But Jett won’t get the chance to see if he can become Honda’s first three-peat champion in this class, as he’s already committed to moving up to the 450 Class next summer.
