Privateer Coty Schock, who was injured in the first 250 moto at Unadilla on Saturday, is expected to make a full recovery, according to Road 2 Recovery.
Schock underwent successful surgery earlier this week to repair a broken L1 vertebrae. Doctors were able to repair the broken L1 vertebrae with two rods and a plate. He also sustained a broken wrist, but it will not require surgery. He is currently recovering in a New York hospital and is in high spirits, according to family members. Shock, a native of Delware, is expected to return home in the next four to five days.
While he does have insurance, there will be costs that are not covered. Jimmy Button explained much more about problems that occur in these situations earlier this week.
Road 2 Recovery has set up a fundraising campaign to help with expenses.

Coty and his family would like to thank everyone and appreciated of all the kind words, well wishes and support that has come out of the moto community.
