The 2017 MXGP roster is beginning to take shape. A day after Red Bull KTM announced they had agreed to a contract extension with Jeffrey Herlings that will see the Dutch star stay with the team through 2020, Rockstar Energy Husqvarna and Max Nagl have agreed to a one-year extension through the 2017 season.
Next year will be the third year the German has spent with the team.
“I’ve enjoyed some of the most successful times of my career as an MXGP rider with the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing team so to be staying with Husqvarna, Antti and the guys is something I’m really very pleased about,” said Nagl. “I think that we’ve showed what we’re capable of as a team and enjoyed lots of very positive GPs during both this year and in 2015. Although I’m now one of the most experienced riders in the MXGP class I truly believe that I can be every bit as competitive next year as I am right now. Continuing to be a part of the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing team is something I’m very excited about.”
