Racer X Films: Team Babbitt's KX250F
Words: David Pingree

It’s always fun getting to ride a factory race bike. These teams spend an insane number of hours fitting their bikes to each riders specific needs. Sometimes you get on the bike and it feels totally awkward… Christophe Pourcel’s factory Husky comes to mind. Other times, it fits like a glove. I had to roll the bars forward and raise the levers a little on this bike before I started but that was the only change I made on it all day. Even though the suspension was way too stiff for a motocross track and the engine/gearing was designed for the tight confines of an arena, I fell I love with this bike. From the lowered subframe to the stability of the chassis to the tight cornering characteristics, I couldn’t get enough of it.
Thank you to Kawasaki, Team Babbitt’s and Gavin Faith for letting us put some time on their title-winning machine.
