Wrist to Sideline Marvin Musquin for Indy
Marvin Musquin will miss Round 13 of Monster Energy Supercross from Indianapolis on Saturday due to a practice crash last weekend in Santa Clara, KTM announced today.
"It's a bummer. I was really excited to go back to Indy. I love it there," said Musquin. "But after my crash last weekend in Santa Clara, my wrist is too painful right now to be able to race. It needs to heal and I don't want to make it worse, I'm hoping it won't take long."
Musquin underwent surgery this off-season on his wrist and entered his rookie season in 450SX behind in training. As the season has progressed, he's improved, landing on the podium at four straight rounds before a 17th last weekend.
The team hopes he will only miss one or two races.
Red Bull KTM team manager Roger DeCoster added: "Marvin was doing so good this year and it's a bummer that the crash last weekend happened. We hope that it will be kept short, to one or two races, and then he can resume racing."
