By David Pingree:
Mugen is an engine-tuning company and parts manufacturer closely associated with Honda. While they focus on car racing now, they had a brief foray into motocross, and their star rider was a young Johnny O’Mara. The word mugen means “without limit,” which is why their logo is typically followed by the word power. The very simple and unusual look of the bikes, along with the fact that O’Show ran #101 during those years, make it one of my favorite retro machines. With that being said, it was my turn to see if we could turn out a trick new replica of the Mugen Honda.
