450SX Class Stats: San Diego

The first 450SX Class race held in San Diego was on October 25, 1980. Mike Bell won on a Yamaha.

This race marks the 32nd time the gate will drop for 450SX Class race in San Diego.

The only first time winner in San Diego was David Vuillemin on a Yamaha in 2000.

Davi Millsaps gave Suzuki their first-ever 450SX Class win in San Diego 2013. It was Millsaps' second San Diego 450SX Class victory. He also won San Diego in 2010 on a Honda.

Can Ryan Dungey give KTM their first 450SX Class win in San Diego?

Chad Reed has the most 450SX Class wins in San Diego with six. Reed's last San Diego win gave Honda their 200th victory in 2011.

Reed won San Diego three straight seasons from '03-'05.

Jeremy McGrath has five 450SX Class wins in San Diego and they all came back-to-back from '93-'98. (There was no San Diego SX in '97).

McGrath, James Stewart, and Ryan Villopoto have all won San Diego in both the 250SX and 450SX Classes. Can Dungey, Eli Tomac, Jake Weimer, or Andrew Short join them?

McGrath, Stewart, Millsaps and Reed have all won San Diego on two brands. Can Reed become the first rider to win San Diego on three brands?

Honda won 10 of 11 450SX Class races in San Diego from 1985 to 1996.

San Diego hosted the opening race of the 1985 450SX Class Championship.

Honda has six event sweeps in San Diego and Yamaha has two. Kawasaki swept the event in the 2012 season with Villopoto and Dean Wilson.

Can Dungey earn back-to-back 450SX Class victories for the first time since races 16 and 17 of 2012?

Can Cole Seely earn back-to-back 450SX Class podiums for the first time in his career?

Due to Stewart not racing, there will not be back-to-back winner in San Diego. There has been a different winner in the 450SX Class in San Diego for the past six seasons.

Can Tomac close in on Dungey's points lead with a fourth podium or second victory?

Can Ken Roczen rebound from back-to-back finishes off the podium? Only once in his career has he finished off of the podium for three consecutive races.

Can Trey Canard win two out of three by winning San Diego? He is tied with Tomac for third in the 450SX Class points.

Can Jason Anderson keep his top-10 streak alive and return to the podium for the first time since the opening race?

San Diego has been very good to Reed. He has five wins and nine top-five finishes there. Can he return to the top step once again in San Diego?
