MCR is pleased to announce Colton Aeck, #526, was selected as the scholarship recipient. "I'm pleased with the level of interest and support the scholarship program generated. Our team looks forward to working with Colton for the remainder of the West Coast Supercross season and supporting his effort and helping him grow," said MCR team owner Mike Genova. "Colton will have our full support as he begins working with the team this week and will make his debut as an official MCR rider at this weekend's race in Anaheim."
Aeck will receive a 250cc racing bike, a 250cc practice bike, salary plus race-based performance bonus, paid expenses, training and support, sponsor benefits package and a race mechanic for the remaining 2014 250 West Coast Supercross season.
In addition, if Aeck is able to finish in the top ten overall in the West Coast series, he will be granted a full 2014 MCR motocross contract.
The scholarship was granted based on the most fan votes received on MotoConcepts website, the winning rider's overall performance at the first two West Coast races and overall character.
Aeck joins pro riders Mike Alessi and Kyle Cunningham on the MCR team.
