RCU Adds Langston to Faculty Lineup

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Ricky Carmichael University is proud to welcome former World and AMA Champion Grant Langston to the 2013 Ricky Carmichael University faculty lineup. Langston will join returning instructors Jeff Emig, Jeff Stanton and Ricky Carmichael in teaching students at the Red Bud Campus Wednesday, July 3rd. The RCU is the kick off to an unprecedented Independence Day Weekend celebration of Moto at the famous Red Bud facility.

Following the RCU at Red Bud Langston will join his fellow instructors and head overseas for the return of the RCU Europe. After a successful inaugural trip to the UK the RCU Europe will again be held at Fat Cat Motoparc located in Doncaster, UK. The group of instructors will join former world champion Jamie Dobb for a 2 day event on July 11th and 12th, prior to the British Youth Nationals being held at the FatCat Motoparc track.

As a 4-time Champion, Langston's addition to the RCU lineup now brings the championship total to 30 amongst this year's faculty. Led by 15-Time champ, RC, the accomplished panel of instructors bring years of racing experience to the lesson plan, while also providing classroom-based knowledge to students.

"I have to say I was honored when Ricky asked me to be an instructor for his Ricky Carmichael University. It has to be the most prestigious riding school on the planet! I am eager to get to the schools and work with the students as well as the other instructors. I am also looking forward to returning to Europe where I won my first World Championship. This is a great opportunity for all level of riders and definitely a great event for our sport." said Langston.

Returning for the fourth year, six-time champion Jeff Stanton will continue to work with students on breaking down rhythm sections and perfecting corner technique. Likewise, four-time champ and also RCU instructor from the school's inception Jeff Emig will focus on teaching the basic foundation of starting technique, while providing general insight on all parts of the track.

Additionally, students will learn everything from proper body positioning, to utilizing organized drills focusing on flat turns, improved braking techniques and even personalized one-on-one training from the instructors.
