I'm sorry but that was a b!tch move by RV. He wasn't past the area of concern and he made the pass before the turn.
Indeed cool hand....you can definately see where Stewart was coming from by saying he was " caught off guard "....but it is what it is.... Cheesy move, but legal.....I am an RV and JS7 fan too...just seems like he could have waited until they exited the area....
...sooooooo Dungey didnt pass under red cross flag???? I think Dungey got a little fired up when Saps tripled over him on that openig lap..
So if any of us clowns are actually concerned about the safety of the riders and the importance of the flags it looks like the Bubba video shows that we should be mad at everyone. Everyone did the double double after the triple and everyone continued to blitz the whoops were the downed rider actually was...
AND Bubba clearly passed RV with the red cross flag out. Watch his video you can see the red light and flag from the riders point of view clearly coming into that turn before he passed RV.
so former champions dont respect flags.. thats a bummer.. not only rv did it but also mr dunge....
Killo...RD was past him when they hit the triple. DM couldn't pass RD after the triple. I know you have to be a Philly lawyer to figure this all out.
Guys it starts at the triple, got it. Even DM said he screwed up.
Section 4.15 of the rule book states...
4. Red Flashing Light: A red flashing light may be displayed at the beginning of a triple jump or a series of jumps. Riders must roll each jump individually with no passing and exercise extreme caution until they are past the area of concern, this includes the sighting or cool down laps.
Asides from the Bubba and RV stuff (where Bubba clearly passed RV after a red flashing light)... Reed and Kiniry both doubled on a red flashing light right in front of Millsaps!
Looks like Saturday night was quite the cluster----...

I always thought the red lights were just for triples but actually they are for more than that. I posted the excerpt.
The video shows 2 things a) RV made the move before he was "past the area of concern", and b) the AMA totally altered the outcome of the race by not enforcing the rules. That was blatant, and it should be overturned now that everyone has seen the evidence. RV was clearly going for it because of the block pass - he didn't like it, so he passed under red.
The way I take it is JS pass was ok because it was before the triple and CR and Kiniry was ok also because it was before the triple. I think the rule means if no triple then it's a series of jumps.
This just confirms my opinion on the events of Saturday night - RV passed in the redcross zone. You could see Kiniry in the corner as RV was making the pass! They were only about 15 feet past the second redcross flag. I am sorry, but the section had flashing redlights and TWO redcross flags - how is their any question about this?
Anyways, it sounded like James shouted something at Alessi as he started to pass him. Then Alessi let him go. Interesting... Also, I wonder if that was Millsaps or Dungey yelling after the collision on the double
After seeing that I feel RV was more in the right than before. They were past the 2nd red flag and the yellow one when he went by.
Also if you are mad at RV what about Barcia?? or Reed and RD who made up about 5sec thru that section??
.Maybe he though the 2nd Red flag ment the END on the no pass zone?? either way there should not have been a 2nd Red flag for Kiniry anyway. Who and Why was that there?? So maybe he did think that ment the end of the no pass zone?
I guess everyone just sees it however they want to see it. To me it looks pretty stinking obvious that everyone did questionable things Saturday night with the only exception being Millsaps.
So Racerx, Transworld and Vital all have the go pro footy up. All three have the pass from Stew's cam. NONE have the pass from Poto's cam. WHY?
If it was all legal wouldn't Poto want to show that footage?
Whats done is done...in his gut he knows he was wrong and karma will deal with him accordingly.
Anyway RV's bike looks like the front digs in WAY better now - yes the dirt has more traction granted but the triple clamp change seems to help the bike pivot way faster so he can use his "steer with the rear end tehnique" better.
On to Daytona gentlemen. Injustices happen everyday right in front of our faces - maybe if we were to put as much effort into correcting/debating those as we are doing to this "sporting event" our worlds would be a better place...

I would say as a added note of contention that it is awfully interesting that RV's GO Pro footage from the race is not here to view - just the practice lap? Hmmm...I bet thay had a "download problem"...
And by the way looking at the go pro footage i'd have to say I have lost a tiny bit of respect for Barcia - in regards to Barcia calling Stewart dirty - Stewart did to him nothing that he did not do to Stewart...pot calling the Kettle black on this occaision the way I see it.
The biggest B!TCH move I saw was at 4:00 into the Stewie vid when you can see RV's front wheel at the WALL jump, then you see Stewie come right over on him across the fact of the jump.. THAT my friends is a B!TCH move.. RV did nothing wrong on the 2nd pass.. Except beat Stewie in some guys eyes.. Does anyone really think Stewie would have kept RV behind him?? RV gapped him by 3 seconds in a span of a few laps..so its a moot point anyways.. Quit crying about it..
Poto was the fastest but he got away with that pass. If not then show his Go pro footage of it. Milsaps is the one who should be pissed
@BD200 I wouldn't call it a "bitch move" - a block yes...let's be fair - everyone on the line has at one point done something like that in their career - I understand JS is not your guy - nor is he mine - fair enough - but if RV had done it would you have called it the same thing? - TELL THE TRUTH - the message boards are watching.
Barcia is a brat - we all knew that a long time ago. But he is pretty fast. Its just funny to me that he seems to have issues with everyone out there - last week he takes out Canard, he hates Reed, he hates Stewart. He is putting the same kind of target on his back that Alessi had when he first turned pro. He is still a "dish it, but can't take it" type of guy. He will eventually learn.
I don't usually fault anyone for trying to fend off a pass attempt, even if the rider trying to pass them is faster. The fact that Bubbles moved over on RV is not that big of a deal. Its not like he was brake checking him in every turn and cutting across in the air.
@Bd200.. I concur with dinomedia.. I wouldnt say it was a b*tch move by Stewart. at all...or a block, although it worked out that way.. Barcia, Stewart, Reed , even RV and a few others were all crossing over on the wall jump just about every lap.....RV should have seen that one coming and he went to the far inside where nobody had been going....RV (who I am a fan of) does make quick passes and often not much thought goes into them...he just gets it done....he did the same thing at A1 with a much slower Stewart and ended up on the ground...
and why only practice, uhmmm exuse me, why only qualifying footage from RV....You probably cant even see the flags from RV's vantage point which is why I am guessing they didnt release it.....conspriacy!!!... only kiddin'
Bubba swerved on him a little but but I think it was mostly just the flow of his line over that wall - not a b-move in my eyes. The pass that poto put on Bubba over that double afterwards was awesome and RacerX has a great wallpaper of it.
By the way I'm pretty sure the race teams are not the ones that control the gopro footage and simply hand their sd card over to those in control after the race. I was surprised to see the practice lap as the footage though... that is weird seeing how he won the race.
Dirty Bam overjumped the finish and James snuck underneath - Man, James is dirty....And you notice when Barcia passes James in the same turn later in the race, he over jumped the finish then too.....
Sorry I disagree, I would accept that as a block anywhere else, but NOT going up the face of a jump.. You can clearly see RV's wheel there, then Stewie go over on him.. You guys cry about the pass, but that move by Stewie was way more dangerous..sorry, but its my honest opinion, from a guy who has raced alot before..

still looks to me that rv should have stayed behind stewart until after the flag not accelerating beside him, thats just proper racer manners
I agree with Killomoto, most guys were doing that and RV should have know that. It was not a beotch move at all bd200 IMO and i have Raced a LOT too. The guy in front has line choise the guy in 2nd must find a way by. It's not like that was the only time JS took that line and I am sure he did not know what side RV was on any way. if you watch the Vids LOTs of guys were doing that every lap.
My main complaint is that Villopoto was clearly fast enough to pass Stewart without having to take advantage of the flags, The AMA says it was legal, so that's fine, but he could've waited and won without the controversy. You'd think after the first penalty he'd be a little more cautious.

.. What a good few days of bench racing and shitalkie...we are virtually trying to take one another out on these comment threads and in a few days I'll be sippin' a cold one or 10 watching Daytona ....then we'll all be benchin' about something else....
MX40 - Indeed - well put... As a fan of both those cats, I wanted to see more racing...not cheese moves.....RV could have let James back by ala RC and MC from back in the day....its that "if you think your dead" style that RV has, which why I like him so much, he pulls the trigger... but sometimes it results in crashes or situations like this his emotions appear to take over....the ruling on the field stands and Im fine with it....but it was weak...
@bd200... over twenty years of racing offroad. And it happens to be a fact of the track. He who has the wheel has the line. JS7 played it nice. He should have parked that little POS rule breaker. A clear violation of the red flag.
RD 5 did the same to DM18.
But ....ONCE AGAIN....the French boys make the rules what ever the hell they want them to be. They need to leave AMA racing....PERIOD!

Dungey passed Millsaps between jump 1 and 2 of the triples under red cross/light before the restart! That was black and white, clear as can be. Dungey may have been the one cleared out by Canard if he wasn't in front of Millsaps at that point! Dungeys was the most blatant of any......yet I see just a post or two about that one. "Your guy this, my guy that!" It is hysterical seeing all the RV haters pretending to be worrying about the integrity of the rules when nobody cares what Dungey did to Davi.
The AMA says Dungey didn't do anything wrong, Davi slowed up when the rules said he could've jumped. It was Davi's mistake, not Dungey's. Carry on.

Mx 40- the AMA ruling was that he jumped when he still was ok. But clearly the footage shows he PASSES Millsaps in the middle of rolling the triples. You can't pass and he does it smack dab in the middle. Just funny that nobody cares since its Dungey and he isn't winning.
Yes and Rockstar protested Dungey and then withdrew it. Davi admitted that it was his fault because he didn't know he didn't have to roll the triples. Trying to make a point by saying "Look what Dungey did!" doesn't make you appear any different from people who are doing the same thing to Villopoto. Just a fan trying to protect his guy while attacking another. AMA had the final say and it's over, time to move on.

So many pro racers on Racer X threads. I better watch who i argue with. If youre a racer youd know what Stewart over that wall was what all the riders were doing so he wasnt scrubbing and jumping into the flat. They did it everylap. Get mad "Racers."
thats not how to pass someone on the yellow he got a 3 bike lead in one turn come on thats not the way to do it. if he didnt do that we would not be talking about this and it would be a straight up win

Red Light Yellow Light Green Light Go! (Def Leppard Y'all) lol. Only thing I'm sure of this season? I turn 52, been into MX since 7, and there has always been a 2 man battle, sometimes 3 hotshoes. This year you can count on 5, maybe even justify 7-8 riders who on any given night or track, can win. RV goofed but if thats what he does to grab a point explains why I have never been a big fan of his. It depends on the track, but man what a bullpen of talent. I'm lovin it.
The AMA let the pass RV put on JS stick cause there where yellow flags and a red cross flag in the air. RV should have waited, but when it's that wild things happen fast.

Hey thanks for the last two GoPro links. So that's what the first three laps of the St Louis 450 Final looked like. Cause we sure as hell did not get to see that on the Supercross show that got delivered to CBS last weekend.
I know all the "guy in front chooses line blah blah" all that crap.. But Stewie didnt appear to choose that like to me until RV's front wheel was right there... I just think it was as classless as RV's pass is all.. Dirty?? NO!! But it wasnt any different than RV's move... that is what I was saying.. Guys calling RV a POS and all kinds of crap on here, for doing nothing different than anyone else out there is doing.. That was my point..
@BillC-- I didnt hear Barcia crying about anything.. He said Stewie isnt that fun to race around.. And I tend to agree.. MORE guys have gone down just for being around Stewie than anyone in supercross history.. Intentional or not.. I would try to stay clear of him myself..
@robmxrider--If no red falgs Stewart wins??? Wow? You must not have watched the race.. RV was alot faster and closed and gapped him.. Red flags or not, RV wins that one.. Everyone does agree to that..
I have seen pos the last few weeks of guys saying how people need to toughen up to be around moto--quit being pus$ys and such.. And NOW--WOW!!! I havent seen this much crying since half the tee-ball players peed their pants... this is sad..WAAAAA!! ,my guy got beat WAAAAA!!! They must have cheated, because nobody can beat my guy!!!! Bunch of girls on here..

Stewart is not the best racer and never will be, the track has to go from red cross to something else (green, red, yellow) at some point in time, and when it did RV pounced, and if he didn't Barcia would have.
Make all the excuses you want, but Stewart was asleep at the wheel........and got exactly what he deserved for his efforts, the foolish always do.
Now I see why barcia called Stewart dirty.

.I can't help but laugh at that from barcia. Crying that JS takes it to the next level?? The pass JS put on him was clean as could be, JB over jumped and went deep into the corner and JS passed him. I just can't believe after all the crap JB has done that he would have issues with anyone else ridding like he does.
@motod6--What the hel! are you talking about??? What I said is fact.. I never said I didnt like Stewie.. I dont dislike him him, I have never met him.. But he has taken alot of guys down.. Never said it was intentional or anything, but he can be dangerous.. He has landed on guys, pullen onto the track after crashes in front of guys, alot of different things he has done to take a few out.. Its all I said and its true.. I have nothing personnel against the guy, so quit crying like I do..People like you is one of the reasons I stay away from here alot, look at the crying and whining on here since the race Saturday.. Its from Stewie fans thinking their guy got cheated somehow.. Wanting a win even its on a technicality...whining up a storm, trying to break down tape and everything.. Dont you think its kinda gone too far with the crying?? REALLY?? I sure do!!

Stewie can be dangerous too.. He does love to cross the face of jumps in front of guys.. He just did it to RV, and if you remember he did it too Reed in practice at Jacksonville, its why Reed got pissed and grabbed Stewies neck remember?? So your guy isnt an Angel.. We all know you do not like him, you have even said He is a punk and you dont like him.. So give it up.. I enjoy watching him race, he is aggressive and rides hard.. Your opinion isnt going to change that..
