Wednesday, December 19, 2012 | 9:30 AMPress Release
Slaton Racing has completed their team for the 2013 supercros season. Vince Friese and Josh Grecko will both be competing in the 450SX class on the west coast. Vince will be also campaigning in the 250SX East Region as well. O'neal has agreed to outfit the riders as well for 2013 with their brand new line of riding gear. Another change for 2013 with the Slaton team is the switch from Kawasaki to Honda's. Marty Smith will again be managing the team for 2013. Also during the off-season team owner Bruce Slaton stepped up the program just a bit. He is now the proud new owner of a beautiful new semi to get this show around in style. Look for the Slaton team to have a whole new look for 2013.

How does a guy with this list of issues continue to get ride????
Jason Thomas (2011 Phoenix SX)
Weston Peick (2012 Washougal national) Resulted in a $500 fine
Kevin Windam (2011 Monster Cup)
Michael Lieb (2012 2-stroke National) Currently under investigation by San Bernardino Sheriffs department
Jake Wiemer (2010 Colorado National
Bobby Kinery (2011 Seattle SX) Resulted in a 1 race suspension for Friese
Daniel Blair (2009 Alanta SX)
Matt Boni (2011 Dallas) career ending injury
This guy puts everybody on the track in danger every time he lines up for a race!
If you can't afford to hire a rider who produces results, then pay one who shows up in headlines. There will always be J-laws and Free-Zees.
well said foundwood.
Friese paid big money for this ride...... pretty disappointed in Marty. guaranteed he'll be up to the same shit he's been doing. He was causing problems in Germany last month at a SX. The guy is a POS.
Hey you forgot the chicken in that group along with Hansen LOL !
Amazing how we keep hearing about riders from each decade who work hard for the opportunity to race at the highest level, and then on race day suddenly fixate on lashing out at other racers. How can you take all of your efforts and the support of team managers and sponsors and act like nothing matters but retaliation for an insignificant racing incident? What type of personality disorder is this? More important: what does it say about fans of the sport who thrive on the lowest common denominator mentality?
You guys are all some class act sissies
Vince Friese Really? Marty Smith, you were the man back in the late 70's, what happend to you? Vince Friese is a BUM. Look at the talented riders unsigned Kyle Peters, Jim Decotis or taking a chance on a amateur like Jace Owen. Any one of these 3 riders could smoke and blow the doors off of Friese. Disappointed as obviously many others are too. Not a cool choice!
That team is a joke so Friese being on it, is a perfect match. I saw on their fb page they were asking the public to sponsor their team for $2,500.00. If Friese paid big money to be on that team then he wasted his money and they are wasting their time.
Let him pull his BS with the 450 riders and see how far he gets.
Slaton Racing is a small team. Small teams like publicity. Friese gets publicity.
I'm sure o'neal lost some customers at this point:D
well it seems like you always have just a few jerks among a really good group of racers. You would think guys would rethink their ways when almost nobody has a good word to say about you
