What an attitude that guy has! Never say die. And as I recall, BillC knows Doug and has helped him with some of the mods to his bike. Right BillC? Don't let anything stand in your way. Did some time in a chair myself, when life deals you lemons, you make lemonade! I learned how to find the balance point and go everywhere on two wheels. I also learned how to use it to my advantage with the young ladies! Then my two broken knees healed and I had to find another angle!!lol Now i'm almost too old to care. ALMOST!!!!!

Doug is a badass...See how far you can ride with your feet never off the pegs and always sitting down and then you can get a feel for what he has had to learn....then multiply that by his tragic injuries and again I say he is a bad ass.All the best to you Doug.!!!

If only there were more Doug Henry's in the world. So incredible to see him at Unadilla this year, I was standing right there at the top of gravity cavity when they interviewed him. Quite possibly the greatest guy this sport will ever see.

For The Love of The Game. What a class act . Remember the poster of him after back surgery. I think he won another National Title after that. Never give up at whatever you decide to do . Do it well. Good to hear from you Doug. You and Dowd continue to amaze me.

I would like to think Yamaha are still helping him out after everything he did on their equipment, and for that four stroke revolution.

And shame on them if they are not?

I was passed by Dowd and Henry at 338 I think it was last year. Coolest thing to be out on the that track and hear someone fast coming up and it's those two guys. They took New England MX to the next level.

I always knew that Doug Henery was a stud and that he was riding again with his "roll-bar" bike, but I can't believe he is still ripping that fast without the use of his legs. His determination to continue with this sport is an inspiration to us all!
GO DOUG HENERY!!!!!

Profile Picture
BigUglyManiac wrote: 10:16pm December 6, 2012

He is more than fast, he would lap me on a point to point route.

He is beyond animal, more like mythic. A fallen greek god? He has trancended being an inspiration - he has moved into out-and-out condemnation on me taking truckloads of blessings for granted.

I cannot understand what pushes him, but I sure do admire it!

Did I hear "Backflip"? Travis oughtta have Doug over for some foam pitting and offer a few tips. Who knows, DH might be teaching TP199 how to "cage-cross" someday. Let's hope not, but a para-flip would be sick as f@#%!
