Chad was unfortunate in the fact that he started his career during the dominant period of the greatest dirtbike rider ever and then to be pushed aside by debatably the fastest guy on the planet and now deals with the best young rising talent who are signed to factory teams and groomed to be champions at the age of 8.

I think considering the circumstances, to win 1 x MX, 2 x SX and 1 x SXLites title is a pretty good accomplishment. And also to consider every runner-up season he has taken it all the way to the final round in Vegas.

He is probably still riding because he feels that he is always 2nd best. As a result at times in the past it has made him arrogant and thrown some dirt wheels in on people. However I think Ellie and his son Tate were a huge step for him. He seems a lot more humble now a days and that is evident in the fact that he is the first dirt bike rider to start his own team and have it actually be successful and not fold in the 1st year.

I think regardless of what happens, the day he walks away he can hold his head high and the industry should stand and applaud. But being an Aussie, I hope it isn’t any time soon.

100% Agree Flower87

I hope he finds someone good to groom into his place on the team so he can step away and just play the manager role. I would love to see 22MS continue for years to come even with chad not being the rider. Imagine if the team is still around in about 13 years and his Son turns pro.... If he follows in his fathers footsteps. That would be epic.

Flower87 I think in a way it's not unfortunate the era Reed has rode through as he can legitimately say he rode against the best and beat the best on his day! With you all the way on the balance of comments! :-)
Go Reedy!

I've said this before, but myself and several other people always used to say or think "Reeds Done" lol. Now I don't think anyone thinks like that anymore, especially after some of his comebacks the last few seasons. This guy has some serious talent and 2013 is going to be at the very least, a whole lot of fun to watch.

Yea, he may not be done but he's real close and at this stage of his career I would hate to see him suffer any serious injuries. I wish he would put a little more emphasis on assembling that team of his, he really needs to start building for a life after his own career comes to an end, which I gotta think is going to be soon, real soon.
