Thor Signs Josh Grant
Friday, October 19, 2012 | 12:50 PMEL CAJON, Calif. – Thor MX welcomes JGRMX/Toyota/Yamaha rider Josh Grant to its impressive 2013 line-up. Grant brings nearly a decade of experience to the Thor MX roster, highlighted by one victory apiece in AMA Supercross and AMA Motocross, in addition to a gold and bronze medal from the Summer X Games.
“It’s great that I was able to team up with Thor this year,” said Grant. “I’ve respected their brand for a long time and I’m really looking forward to building our relationship in 2013.”
Along with his previous accomplishments, Grant overcame injury early this past supercross season to finish on the podium in New Orleans. He also collected an overall podium result at Steel City Raceway during the summer’s outdoor nationals on his way to a sixth-place finish in the 450 class standings.
“We are very happy to bring Josh on board,” said Jim Gallager, Design Director at Thor MX. “With his move back to Yamaha, he seems more confident than ever to make his mark on the 450 class and we are excited to be a part of it.”
Grant will make his Thor MX debut at this weekend’s Monster Energy Cup in Las Vegas on Saturday, October 20.

What a Joke "Grant" - FYI THOR isn't willing to help any of the local up and coming riders at any age unless they carry a name like AC or something. Stop supporting them. I can already see of the past couple of year they are losing customers to the likes of Fox & One Ind. Keep it up everyone!!!
jgr? thought he still had another year with jwr?
mxpunk409 Word is JWR had to let Grant go to create room on the budget sheet to bring Wilson aboard..who may have brought big sponsor with him...will see as things continue to shake out in silly season
Josh and his dad are frikkin awesome people. Glad he's on thor. thats top of the line.. better than MM
THOR is a NON SUPPORTER for amatuers . The offer NO SUPPORT deals for any riders unless they carry a factory name. STOP buying there clothing and products. Its obvious by looking at the local riders at the tracks THOR is no longer the top or dominant program on the market. Maybe everyone is wising up to the company that REFUSES to offer AMATUER SUPPORT. STOP BUYING Their Product.
A side real story - I just won a big series in my area (Midwest) and contacted THOR about rider support and the woman I spoke with who was in charge of rider support actually told me due to them supporting the likes of the Pro Riders they couldn't offer me support. Well let me think a minute about where their money comes from and who keeps them in business.
