Darryn Durham Injured
Friday, October 12, 2012 | 1:50 PMRacer X has learned from multiple sources that Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki's Darryn Durham has injured his achilles tendon in a training accident. This is not a common injury for a motocrosser. DD was just getting back on the bike following shoulder surgery that knocked him out of the summer's Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship.
Not sure yet on Darryn's recovery schedule, but we do know that the Lites East SX Championship starts on February 16th in Arlington, Texas, which leaves about five months recovery time. We'll keep you posted as more information is known.

That really sucks for DD...DAMN IT!
Wicked bummer..... he is shaping up to be the next Shae Bentley only without the regional supercross championship. Achilles tendon injuries tend to be tough ones.
Achilles tendon / heel injuries are very serious for an athlete. Ask Ferry & Izzi.
Dang! Just when pa gets another top guy getting ready to represent.... Thats a major bummer. And so it has begun with the injuries...
he was the 2013 west lites champion
Wow- 3 of us on a moto site know who Yitzhak Rabin is (or was)? I done told 'em we wasn't dumb.
Wait a minute... I got thrown askew by the Yitzhak Rabin thing- DD was not west coast lites champion. This kid named Eli Tomac did pretty good though.
Achilles tendon injuries ...suck...... had one pop running the dog totally out of the blue ...took 6 mos to heal...bummer....heres to quick recovery,,,,
That sucks! He's such a funny dude to have around and rode well in sx this year. Hope he recovers fast!
Man that's a total bummer, he won a race last year and was defintly a title contender in 2013, bet they put Dillion epstein on that bike or maybe rattray will come back and ride west lites then 450 outdoors?
Bad, bad news.... Hope Darryn recovers fast with all bad luck behind him. meanwhile, somewhere in the east, "philthy" Phil needs a ride....
Good Luck DD. Super Bummer you were looking sharp last year. Heal up soon.
Man that sucks. Them achillies hurt like a ....too, Mines usually stuck for the 1st 25 steps in the AM.
What a bummer.. I ruptured mine in 1999. I was able to race 4.5 months later so it is doable for him if he works hard. Find a surgeon that will do some (double suture) deal to make it stronger planning on an early rehab. Stretching back is the worst part, I taped a CR250 wrist pin under the toes of my foot and walked like that for weeks to stretch it. My calf muscle is noticeably smaller now than the other leg cause they stretch so much.
Good luck man I feel for ya

At least your spelling is getting better, you must have dropped the home schooling.
These boards are for racers and fans of the sport. Not ignorant, uneducated kids like yourself wasting people's time and making a fool out of yourself.
Go ask Stanton for his "autograf" and if he "wernt" too busy, maybe he could find "tyme" for you.
Asshol'.
Hey DD we are all for you! Gosh most people dont know how much that can hurt! Been there done that. Be carefull with the pain pills! I used a combination of muscle relaxers and pain pills it worked cause ya gotta use it to make it better. Just take care and get back on the track. Proper taping can help also!
Faaaaac, what a buzzkill
Micth must be losing his touch............Not that Durham could win him a title,
but now with DavaLOST and Hill who hasn't proved anything to get the P.C.
ride, he's in deep $hit! A.C? Where are you, Mich needs help quick.
DD was a 2013 champ? 2013? I hope I didn't have a year-long blackout.
