Wednesday, October 3, 2012 | 4:10 PM
Racer X Illustrated teams up with the vurbmoto team to bring you episode 4 of the Taking on the World series from the 2012 Monster Energy Motocross of Nations in Lommel, Belgium.  After seven consecutive years winning, Team USA came into the event with huge targets on their back, and dozens of European countries dreamt of claiming the title and the prestigious Chamberlain Trophy.  This video shows how it all went down.

Would someone please, please tell the video editors to quit putting blaring music over these racing videos. If I want the sound of bikes and voices drowned out by music, I can do that myself with music I like. Not having a choice sucks.

The race track is one of the best on earth, it's incredible.
Sand tracks are the best

Bad enough we cant hear the bikes over all the jibber jabber on tv. That track reminds me of Keithsberg,il. DC you should check that place out sometime,if you havent already. They hold an annual hare scramble there every year end of february, they only use about a third of mx track and thats a good thing,it's gnarly. Ask chad pederson about it.Would make a cool story for your mag in the off season.

I'm a Canadian looking in from the outside and ya USA might have been underdogs they did pretty good considering. I remember awhile back Ken Roczen saying the American tracks are somewhat boring in the fact they are are fast big jumps and nothing like Europe tracks with big up hills down hills off cambers .. I've been to a couple AMA nationals and mt Morris was a great technical track deadly off cambers also the party the night before in 2001 was nuts!!! But all the tracks are the same ???? Lets throw a few mental tracks in three or four rounds ?? Forget the lake Elsinore and pala bull crap!! Make steel city the final and put two mental sand bomber tracks in!!!

Why does Racer X post the videos so small. When I make it bigger its always blurry, so I have to always go and find in YouTube and watch it there. I can never just watch it on the Racer X website.

Amazing that this race was dominated by 2 KTM 350's! IN THE SAND no less. Guess the bigger jap bikes didn't make a difference.
