A very legitimate question: how far did you overshoot the first corner? I do it every time I pull out my CR.

Awesome indeed. I dumped the 450 and have been riding a 05 CR250 and having a blast. Dont see myself buying another 4 stoke for a while Im having way too much fun on the 250.

Thanks for the two stroke video, and THANK YOU for not killing it with "music"!

Sounds great! Love the sound of a two-stroke. Did not look comfortable at all, however. And I ride a lot ... a LOT faster on my 450 than I did on my 250 2-smoke. Still, in terms of pure FUN, gotta love the smoker!

love my cr 250 and have done a lot of work to it myself to the motor and is easy to use throttle control, I can roll on the power without spinning out, not quite like a thumper but pretty darn close. but way more fun

Yes,the two strokes rule. I put a high preformance powerband in my 2003 CR250 and beat the 4strokes in a drag race every time. It wants to pop a wheelie when i shift gears, but my many years of experience are enough to keep from scratching my rear fender on the ground. I'll race any of you anytime!

Mr-Motorcross;

Hey, where did you buy your powerband from? I think mine might be worn out or something...when I get a new one, I'd like it to be camo colored, if possible. Can you tell me how to install it and maybe how to tighten it up when it needs it?

:)

okay, seriously, to whoever put this video together, THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for not putting asinine metal music over the top of the sound of the bike. FINALLY someone is getting it regarding videos of people riding two-strokes. AMEN!!

and hey - was Larocco walking all over Hahn or what? maybe The Rock should show up at a National instead of about half the other guys that are on the line...just sayin'....

So it is awesome and I just switch from 450 to 250smoker but AMA will not let them ride with the 250f's

@ RacingfortheSon, legislating away an (arguably) better system. Who would do such a thing?

Put JD on that bike he will Show you how to ride 2 strokes

MustardDog wrote: 3:23pm August 28, 2012

The development of the 4 stroke is over- Why not just let 250's race together?? and 500 cc or less in the 450 class. Who cares 2 stroke or 4 stroke. What would the AMA be scared of??

@ MustardDog, whatever it is they're affraid of, we'll never know 'cause they won't say. There is a reason, we're just not worthy of an honest answer.

I could name a dozen things that MIGHT have something to do with it but, going straight to the source and asking for and NOT getting a straight answer tells us a lot as well.

Awesome video! No crappy rap music or garage band junk. Finally a vid the way it should be done!

I doubt very seriously that Wil is going back to a 2 Stroke next year but I appreciate the sentiment!

Even thought KTM and Yamaha are the only ones currently still building a full size two stroke, I would bet that Honda still has all of their tooling they used to make the CR250/125 line. Man, if they would start up some production on these things and develop an EFI system for a two stroke how awesome would that be?

Bring down the cost of getting into moto, sell more bikes and give us all more choices. Bring it on!!!!
