I hope we get an honest explanation of how a fan can actually run across the track at a 450 national moto and cause James Stewart to crash and injure himself. Not very professional, way to ruin a great series.
IT wasn't a fan it was a FLAGGER,
ok, Stewart waited till the 5th moto this year before he imploded, but he was flying. Hope he comes back 2nd moto.
WOW the track worker caused him to crash ! The only video is from his go pro, come on Fuel TV ! Go back to opening moto at Hangtown when Emig said about Stewart "It's when he makes the big mistake. " I'll give half credit to the track worker, now we won't get the answer about Dungey beating Stewart "straight up".
Looks like Bubba is out for moto 2. I hope he gets back for the next round or RD will continue to ride smart races and go for his second outdoor title.
#7 cleared the track worker easily . Nothing physical but may have messed with the mental side. He rode for a good way before going down. Was heavily rutted where he planted . Trackworker will probably get the blame. If thats the case I would go down every corner because of the blond babe in the sweeper and girl with the big ones in the whoops. Just hope he can come back . Will be really boring if not.

They really need a professional flag crew for these races.I would not like to be that guy right now, he can hang out with that Cubs fan from a few years back.Why would a flagger be crossing the track,aren't they supposed to stay at their assigned spot.
He did clear the flagger but it was closer than the gopro with a wide angle lens shows.can't say if he caused the crash but it had to be a distraction coming into those ruts.
I am not real sure it was a flagger. The flagger was shown in the fuel footage waving the red. This guy had a small back pack on and kind of ho hum to the other side. A flagger would have never been positioned after the downside of a jump. Usually flaggers have vests . This guy did not.
CZrider, I was actually thinking the same thing.I have not re-watched it but I did see the backpack and no flag in his hand and there is nothing to flag there.But saw above it was a flagger.Going back to Alessi's crash at Redbud they still need to have a regular crew.

yea JS7 clearded the worker by far and just washed out by himself, typical stewart. Nothing against him for he is an awesome rider but it was just a matter of time before he took a soil sample. how about NBCsports this is the second week in a row that the show before the race ran into the second motos and we couldnt watch the hole race. NBC you have got to fix your shit and get with the program last week was the stupid mountain bike race that ran over motocross and now the truck racing. that stuff in not important at all no one watches that shit. seriously if that happens next weekend ima blow up ur station their is no reason for that to over run motocross. i recored racing everyweek and now i never get to see second moto casue u people dont know how to manage ur shows and time schedual.

come on guys! james "track worker crossing" excuse is really lame! the guy had already crossed the track before james had even landed the double, and he crashes like 5 seconds later from going cross-rutted! stewart fans always protecting him from HIS OWN MISTAKES, get real, james crashed from his own fault!!
Look guys......I am no Stewart fan, but he deserves the benefit of the doubt with reference to the track crosser. As stated earlier, GoPro perspective is the object is MUCH closer than it appears on the footage, and, the crosser looked pretty close to Stewart as he made the jump. At the speeds that these racers go, especially Stewart and Dungey, Stewart may well have been distracted enough to loose his focus as he was entering and continuing in that nasty rutted area.
Who are "we" to say what is or isn't!!!!!!!!! If Stewart says it messed him up, then we should all give him the benefit of the doubt.
I am a huge Dungey fan, and only very recently have I taken a small liking to Stewart, BUT, facts are facts and Stewart has every right to use this bad situation a a reason for his cross-rutting.
I just hope he is not seriously hurt, enough to keep him from finishing the series.....

None of you know why he crashed, he said was a person ! Who was making all the excuses about lappers, Dungey at least there supposed to be on the track, if james is alright he come out next round and the results will be the same 1-1, the one guy that makes this sport worth watching and people have to give him shit, when im racing i dont want to win because the guy beating my ass fallls i want to win because i passed him, if hes a flagger he doesnt leave his spot, that why we keep fans behind a fence because of dumba@@@% like that, regardless he didnt have any business being there.
An objective opinion could be that the crash was the result of a lapse in racer concentration stemming from the racer's over-reaction to the "track crosser."
Ok, if Stewart gets to use the tracker crosser excuse. Than I get to use it also when four fat, topless, drunk guys dragging a cooler that's half open spilling beer cans across the track run out in front me and I wreck unexpectly a half mile later.

Wow, many people on here have no idea what it's like to ride a dirt bike fast on a rutted track and prefer to just hate on Stewart. First off, the go pro was filming at 60p, so when it was played back it was shown in half speed. Slow motion. Second, the go pro hit the ground a couple seconds after the guy passed, sure, but he was carrying a lot of momentum, more than any other rider in the world, and I'm sure he attempted to ride it out. I would assume, he was crashing long before his head hit the mud. Lastly, I'm just going to say it. That looked nothing like a track worker. Looked like a fan. I would hope a track worker would know better. Stewart is out there not getting paid, he has no reason to make excuses and never has made excuses. His only excuse has been that he didn't like his blue bike, and he's validated that one in the last 4 motos. You don't see him crying or roosting the medical crew. His immediate response was that he wanted to see the gopro footage, that track crosser obviously had an impact.
@jonnydonut--Agree and disagree on a few things. One, most bigmouths on here probably dont ride. And I dont remember Stewart ever saying his blue bike was his problem, he just said things didnt work out. But you are WRONG by saying Stewart isnt getting paid. He is NOT out there racing for free, you are insane..Stewart has NEVER done anything for free.
OH YEAH, and it was a photographer who crossed the track, and wasnt that close to Stewart, looks like Stewart had a loss of focus to me..
Dungey is the luckiest rider in motocross history, all those titles and he never beat a big name rider.
How on earth can anyone honestly say that Dungey did not beat anyone for his titles? He outlasted everyone of them! If you are not racing, you lost! If you crash out, You Lost!!!! If he is the only rider out there, he won cause the other guys crashed out! I am not a huge Dungey fan, but I respect the hell out of him, cause he is in it to win it. If you crash out due to this or that, YOU LOSE!!!!! If we are racing and you crash out in the first turn and I don't, I BEAT YOU! I am so tired of people saying that he did not race against this one or that one. They all had the same opportunity to race, if they did not line up for some reason, THEY LOSE! He is not the most aggresive guy, but you cannot deny the guy is fast, ask the other 39 riders out there today if he was fast (or 38, whatever). If all the JS7 fans want the bashing to stop, quit posting stupid remarks like he did not beat him straight up. They were both on the starting line yesterday, and Dungey won!
well this is how i see it.. its not golf! in supercross there are distractions with lappers falggers tblocks ect.. how many times has james been a distraction to the other riders around him such as landing on them running into them ect.. i hate to see this happen but its motocross and life just happens this way at times.. the thing people complain about.. anyone aware of whats going on in the world right now?

@Claxton--What "big Name" rider did Stewart beat during his only outdoor title?? Who was the other riders out there then?? You can say the same with him. And if Stewart takes the title this year, the only "big name" guy is Dungey, and its obvious you dont see him as one of the top ones. So is Stewart one of the luckiest also in your opinion??
HAAA Dungey is the luckiest because he never beat any big names...... 2010, beat Reed straight up in red bud....... how about him and rv, and he would have won last years title if not the fuel. Not saying that RV didnt deserve it though, congrats to all of them, cant wait for next weekend!!
I completely agree with Jonnydonut's comment. It's funny how fast everyone jumps on then off the JS7 bandwagon. James is NOT getting paid for his services ... why would he make excuses. The series isn't over yet!
