That thing is AWESOME!
Thats gotta be the uglyest P.O.S. i've ever seen!
Bike looks great for a dual-sport until you spot the exhaust and back fender. The exhaust makes that bike look so lopsided and funky. I know they're going for the retro look, but don't add a sledgehammer for the sake of it. I think a split exhaust would actually flow good with this bike.
Looks very "Vintage"
why would someone buy that>?
I love my 455e! Reminds me I need to sharpen the chain for this weekend.
But seriously, with the contiigency they have and being a vet class racer if I was buying a new bike it would be a Husky.
Looks like my old '71 400 cross I restored years ago......with upgrades. Also looks like a China bike now days.Otherwise my brother bought a 310 te dualsport and loves it.
I realy like the cool features like the digital display on the crossbar pad and the front head light. The idea of a dual/dirt-track/retro bike is very interesting. If you like the styling of 70's husky bikes, the way this one looks makes sense. I like it.
How about a test PING?
That's the ugliest piece of turd I have seen for ages. Could you go any further back into the seventies for the inspiration on this thing, and expect it to sell? Man-a-live.
That thing is 30 years too late it's 2012 not 1978 figure it out the company will go under in a couple of years!!!
I love the look of the new husky's, and would love to have one (especially the supermoto style street bike they had a few years ago). That being said I agree with mxsp17 that it really does look like one of those generic Chinese bikes. There's a place for "retro" styling I think, but this doesn't seem to hit the right note.
not surprised by most of the negative reactions here. this bike is not intended for the motocross enthusiast, really kinda out of place on this web site. it is, though, a really cool concept for a street legal dual sport. i dig the head/tail lights being pretty much invisible until they are on.
Now that's a Husky tank. I really wish their new bikes would have the old tanks of the past. For what it's made for, I like it.
I agree with coolhand. I really like this bike, and I would most likely buy one to replace my trusty DR650 if they made it available here. I like the newest Husqvarna offerings, but the single best thing that they could do to their line up, is to bring back the classic Husky tank styling and colors (tough, but not impossible to mimic with plastic). It is nothing short of iconic. Bring back the iconic black tanks, pastel blue tanks, and red of classic Husky! Make sure that all of your bikes retain the 6- speed transmissions, and maybe offer something like this Baja in a 250, 350, or 450 version.
The local dealerships in the southeast can't sell the supermoto concept motorcycles.(cause they suck on the highway & suck off road) So maybe Husky has something here. A lower center of gravity & more power should work better on the highway and high speed fire roads. Just give it a chance.
I am 44 years old, and can afford to ride whatever I want. I think that is really sweet looking, and I would sure like to see it in my garage next to my CR500AF and KTMSX125. Daddy likes!
dude that thing looks older the MS if their trying to jumpstart the company again the need to move forwards that is definitly taking a step back hope they didnt waste to much money making that prototype ............they definatly need to go back to the drawing board before production
wow, its missing one of its rear shocks
Grassroots. Only certain people are going to "get" this. It's only a proto so details would be smoothed out. Nothing to lose, why not try a retro blend.
