Your Collection: Kawasaki 175 F7
Sunday, September 18, 2011 | 6:00 AMThis weeks collection comes to us from Mark Bentley in Ohio.
"This is my first bike, purchased in the summer of 1971 from Twin Falls Sportcycles in the Akron area. It was only a few months later that I had the lights torn off and number plates installed. Twin Falls was a Kawasaki, Husky, and Penton shop that I later worked at during my college days at Akron U. We had a pretty strong racing team mostly because the owners, Dallas and Harry were "dyed in the wool" Husky riders. I graduated to a Penton 175 in '73 and then to KX's when Kawasaki got serious about motocross. I still have this Kawasaki 175 F7 that I restored in 1998. I've also included a VERY RARE picture on my KX125, in front of Jerry Sales at O.I.R. in Ravenna."

That brings back memorys, yank the baffle out (more annoying /power)...jerk the head light and turn signals off, install maxwell house lid, custom number plates,.....some trick black tape for either #1 or 7........gas her up. and ride till its too dark.......and ya wish ya had your headlight.....thanks for the memorys this morning.
My Mom bought a used f8 250. She crashed on our first ride up north. My Dad bought it from her and rode it a few times before crashing it (he landed on my bike over a jump). He gave it me and I blew it up a few times. I'll never forget roosting on the beach in Daytona( I didn't know it was illegal), jumping sea walls and berming off the dunes. I still have a Bassani pipe for it hanging in the shed.
I just rebuilt a 1975 f7. I mostly just ride it around town but what a fun bike. It was given to me and besides paint and a little bondo on the tank it only needed an o ring in the carb.
Nice bike. Great story. Love the ride shot on the F7- sweet gear!
Looks like a very nice F7 I had a Penton 125, Husky 125,Kawasaki 125,& Husky 250 from Twin Falls Sportcycles. Oh Yeah I used to work there also. Wonder how wise and fogarty are doing?
