250 Words: Unadilla

Baggett will be riding for Team USA at this years MXoN.

However, there is a race coming up where the three PC Kawi boys will indeed be pitted against each other, and on different teams. Kind of. Baggett has now been named to Team USA for the Motocross of Nations, just as the Scottish-born Wilson will represent the UK, and Rattray will race for South Africa. Mitch Payton, owner of the Pro Circuit team, has always pledged support for the ‘Nations, regardless of what nation his riders hail from. So all three will be racing each other again, on identical bikes, again, but this time for different teams.
And the Pro Circuit team has some work to do, since the MXoN takes place the weekend after the AMA Pro Motocross finale at Pala. So the squad will have to build extra race bikes and ship them to France, all in the midst of preparing for Pala.
Chances are all three will ride well in France, and maybe one will be on a team that hoists the Chamberlain Trophy as the winner of the event. When that happens, we’ll probably have to ask again, “How were you able to compete so hard against a teammate?”

Sorry Jason, But Tyla is to old for the 250(FIM rules) I think he will ride 450!
No mention about the rookie Bogle wit a 5t overall in his first outdoor showing ever??? Man you guys constantly miss the important sh!t.
Thought it was funny when Baggett was talking about Bogle and saying rookie as if he were a veteran of many years considering this is his 2nd year and he raced what 4 races last year.
the MXoN one week after the last round of the US National? whaou! luongo try everything to disadvantage the ama riders! and we know that the Us national shedules was made before the volatile youthstream calendar! sorry for my bad English
just as well, the riders are still in race mode and traveling one more week won't be that bad. It's tougher on the support staff though for sure. Clearing all those things through customs is difficult and can take time (and greasing palms). Likely the bikes/parts will be on their way the week before Pala via airfreight.
@jean-joseph de la gertrude.. Luongo is a shady character... As are the most europeans who run a business involving promoting a serie or a league in the sporting industry...
Luongo is what we call, a "Un enculer de sa mere qui merite d'etre pendu par ces couilles.."
Wow this is a great oprtunity for Mitch, I really dont know if the riders in the US can run the solid lifters like Ducati has on thier bikes ? I imagine that is what Carrolli runs on his 350 in europe so I just let the cat outta the bag? Hey I dunno but I do know Barcia cant float the valves with solid lifters.
The GPs end a day after the Nationals. I don't think there's much of an advantage/disadvantage.
Oh boy Welker, I sure hope you were kidding about the Desmo valves on dirt bikes...
Did anyone interview Musquin this week? Just curious to see what happened to the champ this time.
chadley75, maybe you are new to this column, but it is usually just a small piece, and maybe not the most obvious editorial about the 250 class. So you will not always get the most important point about a race.
How ironic with Baggett riding a PC bike and him being one of the very few not being a bagger.
While there is the "blah, blah, blah" factor to this seasons 250F title run, I predict a whole new infusion of interest & enthusiasm come next years version. Tomac will be past the "sophmore slump", Hello Roczen, Hello Bogle, a R&R'ed Musquin and maybe even signs of life from Jason Anderson. Mitch Payton & Co. got a "gimmie" this year, they'll be pulling their hair out next year.
Too bad about Rattray, I'd of prefered him over Wilson to take the title, that is of course, if Bagget doesn't do it.
Baggett is a rookie in the 250f class. He's did 2 of them last year?! Regardless, that is a funny ass statement coming from him.
Baggett is a veteran at talking sh!t.
Scotland the brave. Wilson = third best 250 rider in the world, after Rocky and Herlings.
It must suck guys. Anyway, keep the old pecker up. At least Baguette is quicker than that SA old timer; Ratters.
USA USA USA LOL.
Hey mikey- u must b proud of yer buddy (that also asked-no told you to shut up) MM's 7-8 moto finishes for the day. hahaha I keep hearin' you go on and on about how fast these guys are, but I just can't find the results to back up what you say. It just doesn't happen that way. How did u become so confused? You must spend too much time going WEE-WEE in GAY Paris! LOL
More anti-American rhetoric from irrelevant Mike. Herlings is a freakin' sand-master no doubt, this doesn't make him the second best 250F racer in the world. Line 'em all up and he's top 10. He'll be top 5 @ MXdN because there will only be one American there.....duh.
Thanks for the rabble rousing this morning Mike, I will now overcharge all my foreign customers to bolster the economy and send my support check to team U.S.A. That's right buddy, USA, USA. USA!!!
Get out Josh Hansen's "old" bike. Rattray is gonna need it!
ama riders need a new bike for the mxon, what’s the plan ? one day of practice in europe before the race? hope nobody get hurt
@Mark S
Sounds like BB57 has been reading too many of his own press clippings and may be in need of a larger helmet size.
Baggett's statement did sound like it should only come from a true veteran.
Then again a true veteran rider would know better than to say such a thing and instead, just show the rookie a wheel in the next moto @ Southwick.
