Proof: How They Started

Wednesday, August 10, 2011 | 3:10 PM

They say a picture is worth a thousand words. If that’s true, below are over ten thousand words proving how two of the top motocross riders to ever throw a leg over a bike were loyal to Kawasaki throughout much of their careers. Team Green has led a lot of riders to stardom, but these two may be the program’s best. They have combined for twenty amateur national motocross championships from Loretta Lynn’s (RC-9, JS-11), all aboard green machines. In honor of their legacy with Kawasaki, and proof that Kawasaki has helped mold two of the best motocross racers off all time, below is a pictorial of Ricky Carmichael and James Stewart aboard Kawasaki motorcycles at different stages of their amazing motocross careers.

Kawi has found and groomed some of the biggest names in moto. And it seems they will keep doing it. But Stewie and RC easliy have to be the two best amatuers they had.

Why it's taken so long for others (Factory Connection, JGRMX) to catch on to the farm program is one of the great moto mysteries (still nowhere near Team Green's scale though). I guess Kawasaki was the only team to crack the code of dealing with mini-parents.

you can explain me how the hell a brand who make bad bikes over 30 or 40 years didn't finish in bankrupt? and how the hell, after that, they have all the money to made so many good bikes today? are you telling me that KTM never copying (or copied?) the nippons? really? during they history KTM ingeniors are looking into the J-bikes more then one million gynecologists looking under the ladies skirts during all they lives! sorry for my bad English

look at Husqvarna, my favorite Euro brand, they made the best bikes in the 60's, they made good bikes in the seventies but not in the 80's, then in 1987 they sold their company (Husqvarna Motorcycle) at Cagiva, it's a logical process imo

Hey guys the 271 bikes are old JS bikes that Malcolm used to smoke 450's at Loretta. Here is a cool link I found of Malcolm smoking 450's on JS bikes. You gotta love the 2 stroke sound http://youtu.be/27OyaNHaaK0

Someone tell me how "JS7", a once fan favorite, has become a such a phenominal disgrace? Dissing fans and felony commiting idiot is his new claim to fame I guess.Outdoor season to dirty for you big guy? Too bumpy? Not enough glitz for your Hollywood ass? Or, are you simply wise enough to realize you simply don't have what it takes to compete against the best our sport has to offer? Too bad "Bubba." It's been a great year!! We're at Unadilla and it would be pure joy to see you throw another temper tantrum like last year! Yeah, we know. L&M Racing is a "Supercross Only Team"...right? LOL!
