Truth MX Ben Evans Holds onto Top Ten

Wednesday, May 11, 2011 | 10:05 AM
Truth MX / MB1 / Fly / Kawasaki rider Ben Evans overcomes stomach flu to hold top ten points standing.

Coming into the final lites west coast round in Las Vegas, Ben Evans was suffering from a horrific stomach bug that left him unable to eat food or take any fluids for three days. After dropping nearly ten pounds, Ben soldiered through an excruciating Lites west main event to finish 14th.  After the race, Ben was immediately rushed to the Medical Unit for two consecutive IV’s.

Ben came into Vegas with a slim 7 point lead over Travis Baker and 14 point lead over Nick Paluzzi.

Ben’s courageous ride secured his 10th place standing in the lites west championship by a mere one point.

The Truth MX / MB1 / Fly / Kawasaki Team would like to commend Ben’s commitment and never give up effort in a story of pure heart and desire.  It’s a privilege to be associated with such an exceptional athlete.

Ben is starting to recover and will be ready for Hangtown along with his teammate #814 Bryce Vallee.

A special thanks to the team’s founding partners:

There's always an excuse for this dude.

Fact is, he just isn't fast enough to be in the top five unless he gets on a better bike?

Don't know about excuses, the guys a pretty straight shooter for sure, but you're right about the factory bikes. It's kinda like cheating how much lighter their bikes are and the extra HP they pick up w/ mods.

I think if you put Ben on a PC bike he would be in the top 3. That bike he's on is a piece of sh*t. MB1??? C'mon!
