Stewart had nothing to do with it...neither did Yamaha money....the owner of Motoconcepts has deep pockets and wants to win...I would bet that the $$ to lure CP in came from his checkbook - not Yamahas...good for him and that team. Money always wins. You can do what you want, when you want. Remember this kids...ride/race for fun - but pay attention in school. The Lorettas, Mini-o's dream is a 1/1000000000 chance. Education. Start a business. Make money. Then ride everyday for fun :)

Cant believe He went to that team. Kinda figured he'd be running Fox gear. Really thaught he'd be w/ mitch in his corner. He's on FMF , not sure who does their susp, but i dont think its PC. Yeah, cool to see him riding. Just a shame about the team. I mean no offense to moto concepts but would have been way cooler to see him on Geico or even Valli for that matter. Hope he stays loyal to Fox too, i know the team run Oneal, but he's in Fox in the pic? Also as he has ditched: Monster and pro circuit just for the money..
Actually some clean looking gear and not some generic off the shelf helmet (at least for now). I miss when most every rider had a nice custom painted helmet.

..he has diferent suspension now...hes gonna have 2 work hard...because that bike is not at all like rv2 or rd5...plus they are machines,,,
the color of the riders gear and color of the graphics on a bike does not make the rider fast or slow but i know some people at the amatuer level think they need the best looking bike and gear to go fast.I know this cause i used to see it at the local races as i passed those guys with my worn out shit.
Wait....I thought the more colorful you are, the faster you go right? That's why the #2 guy is gonna win the motorbike championship race because his bike is really green and shiny.
Thanx for clearing that up for me, I always thought that if you ran the cool and crazy colors with your gear and graphics it would make you super fast and a much better rider. No wonder I haven't been winning, I better get a bunch of tatoos and see if that works!

Perfect match for Pourcel between him and the YZF. Both Pourcel and the shock can blow up towards the end of the motos due to heat...

I like it ANYTIME there is a new player, new team, other companies brought into the fold. We need the sport to grow folks, cant have every rider on bike Acme with Acme suspension, Acme pipe, wearing Acme gear. The more diversity we have in the sport (more teams) the more riders can get rides and provide a deeper field and better racing on the track.

Who is to say he "screwed" mitch over? Not like Mitch hasn't been running the most dominating race team over the past decade I doubt he REALLY cares that Pourcel isn't running his stuff. As for all you harassing him for wanting money, I'd want money too, and a ton of it to be putting my ass on the line every week with past injuries like he has. Hate him or not you gotta respect his skill. Or don't and continue being jealous. Either way going to be some great racing this summer!

Im guessing you failed at racing. probably cuase you never put the heart into it that it takes. Reality is what you make it. Dreams are what you work for. So heres better advise for you kids. DO WHAT MAKES YOU HAPPY. and whatever that may be. Work the hardest and you will be satisfied.
Pourcel is a huge idiot when he could of been on vali with pretty much his old pro circuit bike where he had championships and thats got to hurt mitch and pourcell just looks like a idiot on the gay fmf motoconcept bike.
Hey it is just the continuation of the NW domination of the Sport.. From the early 1978 with Rick Bergett to Larry Ward to Villiapoto and Hill the NW has been the breading ground for highly talented riders and now we are going to start our own high power teams starting with PC and Moto Concepts..
Oh and for the guy that Said go to school and dont try to be a racer.. If everyone had that attitude then you wouldnt have a sport to watch.. Be smart, do good in school and follow your dreams and go after MX if that is your desire..
I am pretty sure I read a while back that Mitch didn`t really care where Pourcel ended up as long as he was back racing.
wow ,some off these guys are so wrapped up in the fashion side of it I think they may be girly men. I would be WAY more concerned about making that RIDGID (if its anything like Havoc7's bike) yamaha work outdoors. Frenchy can ride ,cut him some slack he can haul,s#*t he was a World Champ....oh yeah right you could do that. Put down that Cosmopolitan magazine ,stop polishing your brand new fashion riding boots , get out your freshly ironed brand new fashion gear and go get muddy actually riding. Maybe someday you'll be fast enough the guy with the areacode number won't lap you every other lap!
The outdoors season with be even better than this years SX season.

@ NW Riders RULE, I think you missed the point that Nope was trying to make,what I think he's trying to say is cover you ass with an education so you have something to take you through the rest of you're life and enjoy riding even if you're not the fastest, remember this sport isn't golf were you might be able to have a twenty or thirty year career.
Oh and by the way, if you don't have money all the dreams and wishes and for that matter Talent, your not going to go very far.
It's all about the $$$$$$$$.
P.S. Tried it you're way and although I don't regret it my bank account would look alot different and I probably wouldn't have a cane beside my bed to help me get up in the morning....
@OrganDoner.. According to multiple french websites and forums... Where CP gave his thoughts on the deal as well as did DV...
The monster energy deal on the helmet is there and you will see it at the nationals.
As mitch's role.. Mitch likes the kid and would help him get a ride... His ties to Geico & Valli motorsports helped CP do some test's.
Geico wanted him, but could not meet his demands when it came to bonus's.
Valli, they have ties to Rockstar.. And CP apparantly has a good deal ongoing with monster.
So, DV approchaed CP.. And with the support of the owner of motoconcept... They manage to put up a good bonus deal for CP.
But.. most important of all.. Yamaha is pledging full support on parts to motoconcept.
As for the suspension.. They will be kyb.
why would cp ride a turd honda? I am sure if he signed w/motoconcepts his bike is fine. Guess what, rv uses fmf. as for ugly, so is your old lady

wfo250 Dont be hatin on Pro Circuit rv uses fmf if you are a person that pays attention he has a new trainer (Aldon Baker) and Aldon has worked with past champions like Ricky Carmichel and if you look at pictures last year he looks like a fat guy trying to race and now he is fit and he can last all season and the bike has nothing to do it at all right now he could jump on a 250 and probly get a top five finish so get your facts right and if i could bet you 100$ if pourcel wont even finish the national year off.
he looks like a total amateur with those 1989 welfare looking numbers on his bike .

If you think PC377 is going to fold, I think you forget this man was paralyzed and came back to do win all those races in both Supercross and Motocross. The man does not know the word quit. Let’s see you do that. He can ride, I wish I had half his talent.

I can not believe that so many are caring / hating about CP and Motoconcepts contract , practice gear , pipes and graphics. A winner will still be a winner on what ever brand suits him or his team. These teams change sponsors sometimes every year. Good job Team MotoConcepts and congrats CP. Think about it , if luck would have had it, every color of bike would had been racing for the championship in Vegas. Outdoors is a whole new animal. MotoConcepts are already sponsoring some great young talent coming through the back door. Watch and learn.

How did Pourcel fold in 2009 when he won most of the last 8 motos and was taking control of the championship until his bike blew? How does bike blowing up = Pourcel folding? I just need this to be explained to me... He isn't a fold under pressure guy.
Last season, he DNFed three motos due to crashes... That might be folding under pressure but it was also obvious that he didn't take the class anywhere near as seriously as anyone else in the class did. Does anybody really think that if Pourcel didn't practice on his 250f during the week and train even half as hard as Canard did last season, that Canard had anything for him? Speedwise Pourcel had everyone in the class covered despite not practicing ever on a 250. It was the fitness that did him in. I am willing to bet that he will train a bit harder this season, especially with a team manager who has called him out on it in the past.
I like people keep on saying stewart isnt racing outdoors but transworld has a video of him MX testing. none the less go pourcell, maybe the 450's will treat him a little better than the 250 championship chase did.
Also he should be fully recovered and healthy this season. last year for those of you who dont know, pourcell was suffering from side effects from his previous debilitating injury and wasn't able to keep food in properly after around 10am so as you can imagine his energy levels were depleted after first motos which is why he lacked so much in 2nd moto most of the season
I don't think he trained and took the class as seriously though because in 2009 he had far less second moto problems. It was hardly even an issue in 2009 so how could it suddenly be such a factor in 2010?
I bet that figuring out his health problems would really help him and he thinks he has, but as Vuillemin said, he didn't train at all last season. He barely even rode during the week and when he did, it was on a 450.

@lewis517... For now, what I recall reading.. yamaha had an agreement with L&M (Back then, prior to nthe legal issues afterwards) that they offer full support for a SX only season.
However, they can do a certain number of nationals... 4 I believe was the maximum of races.
And.. according to Matthes's sources.. Stewie has no support from yamaha financially then to do the outdoors.
And according to regal... Even though they have been testing.. They do not seem to have any outdoor settings...
You will have to wait after vegas to see whether Stewie is going to do any nationals.
The best prepared team right now for the outdoors are kawi, suzuki and ktm.. Honda was there, but they have injured riders.

I love how everybody is an expert on here but they really have no idea whats going on. Oh and by the way @Kevin that is an off the shelf helmet and almost all of the top guys still run custom lids.

so a friend from home knows him well,she wasn't able to attend vegas sx so she asked if I could meet up with him to get some jerseys he had for her,it was for a cancer awareness raffle,he then told her she can only have them if she would send a pic of me and only if I wad hot? Well apparently I didn't pass,I met up with him the next day and he acted as if he didn't know me and kept on walking? I later text him to remind him what the jerseys were for,@ first his response was"yeah yeah" later he said,and I QUOTE"I HATE STUPID AMERICANS THEY DONT RESPECT ME,I ONLY GIVE TO THE FRENCH BECAUSE THEY RESPECT ME"UHHH WTF?
