Memorial Moto Mayhem at Freestone

Wortham, TX- As everything goes in Texas, only Freestone County Raceway could host such an epic event planned for Memorial weekend in 2011.
Freestone and it's "Memorial Moto Mayhem" weekend will be celebrating it's 5th year on the Lucas Oil AMA Motocross Championship tour. After being off the map for almost two decades, fans of Texas motocross will be treated to four days of motocross and off-road racing at the Miller Ranch in Wortham.
Under the lights on Friday (May 27), the finale of the FMF Texas Night Series comes to Freestone's famed night track in a classic, North vs South clash. The North Texas Night Series vs the South Texas Night Series will merge into one SHOOTOUT of who is the best in Texas. If you haven't experienced Freestone's night track, you might consider bringing your tinted goggles ........... really!!!! Opening ceremonies begin Friday at 6:00pm.
On Saturday (May 28), the Pro riders of the Lucas Oil AMA Motocross Championship are on stage for the Rockstar Energy Freestone National. The schedule starts with practice and qualifying for each class (250, 450 & WMX) from 8:30am - 12 noon. Then at 1:00pm, the toughest 40 riders in the world go bar-to-bar for 2 Moto's in each class. Gates open on Saturday at 7am so come early and enjoy a great day of racing!!!!
While you are walking around the Freestone facility on Saturday, head over to "Cemetery Hill" (north side of track) and check out the Vintage Midway. Once you see these works of art, stay for an extra day and catch some of the most beautiful motocross bikes competing on a natural terrain, grass track right next to the national track. Sunday (May 29) is the Vintage Motocross Classic at Freestone.
Also on Sunday is the Freestone Off-Road Championship. The Miller Ranch will host it's own off-road championship for all to enjoy the woods and creek beds of the 150+ year old ranch (Miller Ranch est 1853).
As soon as the sun rises on Sunday & Monday (May 29-30), the WMA Cup (Womens Motocross Association - not affiliated with WMX) and AMA Amateur Days/Pro Am kick off for two days of intense racing as some of the nations top amateur riders compete on the Freestone Raceway national track. Practice will start at 8:00am with racing beginning at 9:30am.
Online registration is now open until Monday, May 23rd (8pm) for all the amateur racing offered (omitting Off-Road).
