And just by watching those 12 seconds of #800 I hereby predict he wins the Outdoor title.

Alessi was lookin good out there. It looked like a 450 and for the sake of this outdoor year and the future of his career I hope he rides the 450. The 350 is a sick bike no doubt but is not for American mx. He needs all the power he can get and the 450 is where its at. I hope he kills it this year and gets back to his former self.

Yamalink, that is just silly. What you will see is how much better Mikey does with a full 450 under him. He will be much bigger a factor this year, but there are a ton of guys out there this year ready to push him back. I say he finishes somewhere around 7th. RV, Dungey, Reed, Metcalfe, Pourcel, Canard.....there's 6 top dawgs right there. Stewart possibly? Shorty just better hope he beats Mike regularly, but that might be a tall order.

I hope Alessi returns to '09 form with the 450, I also hope Alpinestars supplies him with some different colored gear other than orange, sheesh.

If stewart rides the outdoors like he is riding SX then we are all in for a treat!!! I would up my insurance policy if I were him. I wouldl like to see Alessi struggle again, I think its funny! RD will have the same problems in the outdoors!!

I really would like to see mike do well this year outdoors. It almost seems as thought he is just going through the motions in sx trying to stay health for mx.

Marvin Musquin is no joke. They been saying he eats roczen for breakfast. ALESSI??? he's had his highs and lows in motocross but one things always been the SAME about his pro career. Its all HYPE and nothing more. Should he keep getting factory rides for the next 20 years. Give up on him already, he's overwith. He has the riding style of a dinosaur. everybody's raised the bar so much and mike and tony dont see it because they're stuck in their own arrogance. CJNUNES--- alessi wont handle metty, especially now that metty's on a factory zook

Alessi's best days are behind him. He will never be a serious contender unless Stewart, Reed, Pourcel, Dungey, Villopoto, Canard and Short all get hurt.

Awesome video. Let us see riders from other continents..... Take it as a compliment to our series... Instead of being the hillbilly type who feel that the foreigners need to go back home haha

Way cool Vid, Nice to see tortelli out there too. MI800 will have a hard time, It will be hard for all of them. My pick is RV though. If JS does the hole series IMO he is the only one who could run with RV.

Obviously for outdoors it's going to be stacked just like it is now. For some reason I'd like to see Dungey come out swinging, he looked great outdoors last season regardless of who wasn't there. This SX season might be the reality check and motivation he needs to come out swinging. He will win mulitple races this summer, bank on it.

Anon wrote: 9:47am April 8, 2011

Musquin will podium a LOT this outdoor season. Dont forget he is used to riding much tougher GP tracks in Europe for longer motos. The only thing that may get him is the heat, other than that his speed is solid, and his riding style is great to watch.

Ryno with the YZ450! I like how he thought he could smash on the field at the 2stroke World Champs with a YZ144. He was still haul'n though.

It must be pretty cool to ride G Helen and see top-tier riders fly'n around the track.

I truly hope MA800 gets away from the 350. It may be a great bike, but since he isn't the most dominate rider (after the start) he shouldn't take a displacement disadvantage; especially outdoors again. The 350 is better suited as a vet class, or offroad steed. Unless the lites all became 350s. MA is a bad ass outdoors, and will mix it up with the top ten riders every round.

This outdoor season is going to be good. mike wont win ever again unless js7 RD5 RV2 and TC41 CR22 get hurt. And i dont think pourcel will do that good bc on the 250 he would get so tired during the second motos and drop way back and that 450s going to make him really tired.

Anything can happen in MX. Just take a look at this years SX season. The 800 is very strong outdoors. I'm not a fan but I'm just sayin anything can happen during the season.

There is no replacement for displacement, especially when racing outdoors; MA800 needs to race the KTM 450 outdoors to be competitive!

However, I will say the KTM 350 is an awesome bike and I applaud KTM for their creativity and leading-edge-thinking; more manufactures need to follow KTM’s “out-of-the-box” efforts!

All the #800 haters are going to get their believers adjusted come U.S.G.P. time. Mike has some unfinished business with Carioli from last year.
The Monster folks are going to have a heart attack after the Red Bull Parade at the 'G.P.
I hope Short has enough sense to 450-up for the outdoors.
Ryno just doesn't look right on a yamaha anymore.
If the KTM makes power comparable to the PC/GEICO axis of evil, Musquin should compete for podiums every week.

Marvin looks good, smooth...smooth style. GP riders have been all over the place here in the states. You look at someone like Tyla Rattray. Podium, win an overall here and there, but not at the level of Trey or Pourcel last year. Other riders though, like Pourcel and Townley (during his battle with Villopotto) proved those guys can ride just as fast as the AMA dudes. I think he will be battling for wins and the championship when it's all said and done. The guy is no joke

Ahhh yes...Ol' Glen Helen....loved it back in the day when they had the devils drop...The week before 1989 USGP was held there, my buddies and I hit the Wednesday practice and all the Euros were out there ripping that place apart....Even took a rock from pretty sure it was Eric Georbers CR500 over a table top which lead to a one handed landing , crash and broken meticarple on my part !!!

Outdoors will be sick!!!....RV in 2009 waxed everyone on the GH track, even alessi after he had a HUGE lead....cant wait.

Wait a minute! I thought that RacerX no longer acknowledged the existence of Glen Helen! Ha ha. Savvy MXA readers will get that joke.

Remember a couple of months back when some dude asked where to ride, and Ping said Pala and totally didn't acknowledge Glen Helen? Seemed like a pretty big oversight, huh? Well, it was no accident.

DanRad wrote: 12:42am April 9, 2011

What a great track. Too bad it's not on the series. Now the FIM and that theif Guiseppi has one of the best tracks in the country. The Texas track is lame and Pala is no Glen Helen.

Grant looked good, is he riding with only one eye due to his battle with cancer?

If Musquin wins, I wont be surprised. If he doesn't win at all, I wont be surprised. Dude is fast don't get me wrong. I would like to see him do good. But, it's going to be hard with ET, JB, DW and so on and so fourth. But It should be a good season in both classes.
