ARMA Energy A2 Recap

Carlsbad, CA– ARMA Energy racers were primed and ready for Anaheim 2 the fifth stop of the AMA Supercross Series held February 5th. As snow was falling in many areas of the country, Angels Stadium had clear and sunny 66-degree weather to offer excellent conditions on the track for ARMA sponsored Hart and Huntington racers Ivan Tedesco and Chris Blose who finished 7th and 17th respectively in the main.
Drama is not a stranger to Anaheim Supercross. Tedesco was out in front from his first heat race getting the holeshot from James Stewart and Ryan Villopoto taking an early lead. Tedesco was holding strong in 3rd place and battling Villopoto for 2nd when he was hit in midair by Kevin Windham taking the both of them down in the rhythm section. Both Tedesco and Windham we able to get up and with no time to spare, barely finished 6th and 7th to qualify for the main.
“The crash with Tedesco and Windham was pretty heavy and it was amazing that they were both able to get up and ride away”, said ARMA spokesman Scott “Hollywood” Sepkovic.
The main event kicked off in front of a sold out Angel's Stadium. Tedesco had a decent 9th place start but was held in the pack and fell back to 13th. Tedesco was fighting his way back up through the entire race finishing 7th place overall. With Tedesco's 7th place finish at A2, he is now 10th in the series race.
Notably, ARMA Energy/Hart and Huntington racer Chris Blose finished 7th in the second heat race and was looking strong. Blose ended up 17th in the main and is currently rated 15th overall in the series.
The ARMA Energy racers are now gearing up for the next round in Houston, Texas at Reliant Stadium on February 12th.
ARMA is also offering the chance for every racer, at every round, in each class, to walk away with some extra money in their pockets. Racers will be able to benefit from added contingency support from ARMA this Supercross season. ARMA is giving over $100,000 in contingency payouts for the 2011 AMA Supercross and Supercross Lites classes. This is the first of many years that ARMA Energy will be supporting Supercross.
