Weimer Update
Wednesday, December 29, 2010 | 10:40 AMRacer X just spoke to a source with Team Monster Energy Kawasaki regarding Jake Weimer's crash and subsequent broken arm. Weimer crashed in the whoops while riding at Ryan Villopoto's track this afternoon. This is a huge bummer for the 2010 West Region Supercross Lites Champion, who was heading into his rookie 450 campaign.
Surgery is likely, but no timetable or official diagnosis is known yet, since the injury only took place today. If Weimer can bounce back quickly, the team could go it alone with Ryan Villopto solo under the race tent, but if Weimer is out for several weeks, they may look for a replacement. If so, time is of the essence, obviously.
