Olympia, Washington - KTM’s Mike Brown added another AMA National Championship to his legend this week by winning the inaugural AMA WORCS WEEK National Championship. The AMA WORCS Week Championship is a multidiscipline title that entails four events in one week of racing. The events included an AMA Western Hare Scrambles, a GPMX race, a WORCS-Cross race, and the final was WORCS round eight all in Olympia Washington at the Straddleline facility.

Brown earned his newest title the hard way, by battling in every event and coming from behind to earn podiums and points toward the Championship. “Any AMA National Championship is nice to win, so I’m happy to have gotten this one,” said Brown. I enjoy racing and it was a lot of fun to compete in the four events we did this week.”

All in all WORCS Week awarded more then 16 AMA National Championships for Pro/AA and A riders who participated. One of those was Johnny Campbell, who won the AMA Vet Pro WORCS Week Championship. The legendary Baja and Score rider made a surprising announcement. “This is the first AMA National Championship I’ve ever won,” said Johnny. “I’ve won Score Championships and Best in the Desert but this is my first AMA title. I’m going to get to go to the banquet this year.”

Campbell earned his first AMA Championship by competing in all four disciplines and finishing every event.
